Had to do some searching for a post from way back and I have to say this forum was a lot more entertaining a few years ago...

What happened to White Lightning? I hope the truck nuts are ok too.

Any Evo 8 guys back on iridiums? I am tired of changing plugs but I don't want to spend $60 for nothing on the IGR7A-G if I can get the BPR7EIX plugs for cheap.

Craig, I found a post saying that you were going back to iridium what plug are you running now?

FYI I am currently running BPR7ES gapped at 0.024 on the stock ignition, E85 @ 28psi and I'm blowing out spark quite often.

Thanks in advance

iridium is just a better material especially for a turbo application
not only can it handle more heat but they last a long time so no fiddling around with plugs
considering their lifespan, they aren't actually much more money

Both plugs I was referencing to are iridiums. One is the OEM for my VIII, the other is the "stock plug" but I am not sure if it is applicable to the VIII. I am all too familiar with the benefit of iridium plug, I went with copper because that's what most were doing before they realized that the iridiums really could hold up to the power.

Back to my question, anyone running BPR7EIX on the VIII? Is that the stock heat range?

It didnt seem like there was a lot of interest. I really don't check here often enough, but why not try to start a list. I'm sure we can get a few guys out.

Emergency Shout out for help with my Evo X. I'm in the middle of rebuilding a front caliper. It was leaking and I need to get it fixed for inspection (which expired in June). I found that the problem is a corroded plunger. Is there anyone local that has a caliper sitting around that I can rob a plunger from? I think that the IIIV and IX cylinder plungers are the same size since the seal kit fits them all.

If you can help me out please text or call me at 724-858-seven six five two. I can come pick it up and pay cash.
