hey guys, just wanted to give you all a heads up.

tomorrow is Fast Track for a Cure in North Park.

http://www.fasttrackpgh.com/

it's an awesome event to benefit the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA).

even if you don't plan on racing at the autocross there are plenty of other things going on that make it well worth the trip. there are prize baskets being raffled off (over 50 this year!) and loads of food.

here's a video Morgan made giving the background on his involvement in the HDSA.

http://youtu.be/t4EQ7FIFMsY

hope to see you there.

Yeah, Oakmont, that was probably it. That's the 2nd time I've seen you on the road.

Do you routinely attend these meets?

No, you don't "ADD" 18%. The 18% is the average difference between horsepower numbers of a MustangDyno and DynoJet. Mustang numbers are much closer to real-world numbers that a vehicle actually applies to the pavement. Stick with MustangDyno numbers... don't add any 18%.

BTW, on a mustang dyno, I made 330hp with the stock Evo8 turbo. Sounds like you have some tuning issues.

I have a spare 4g63 block, oil pan and all lying around the garage. Low miles < 50k. Although I know you no longer live in Pitt. and would be more to ship than it's worth IMHO. Let me know.

I migh need that engine if possible? One of the top options is having Buschur build me a new motor!

Thanks Curt! I have been planning on calling you soon for some other things but it may be sooner then expected.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up, I might just have to take it back down and have them look at it

Yup, rod thru the block. What i have found out from my data system is that the car was starting to get weak from the first event of this year. It was loosing HP with every high rpm shift. The car was at 270 max hp when she went. Wereas the car was showing 371 hp at the first event. So bearings failed maybe?

So I'm guessing she broke at high rpm ??

Have you taken it apart to see if the head got trashed ??

I would guess bearing failure.... How high we're you revving it out to on average ??

I know it's been brought up a bunch of times, but for those who are due for inspection and don't have a cat on their car, they may want to just try to get it inspected anyhow. Granted, mine was emmissions exempt, but I still think they're supposed to do a visual check. I only had a day to get inspected and my usual shop that turns a blind eye ran out of stickers. Yeah, they're dumbasses. At that point, I figured I'd try a random service center and sure enough, they didn't even look at the car and passed it. As long as you don't have a CEL, they would probably pass anyone with a newer vehicle. Just throwing it out there for guys who have had issues in the past like I did. If you need help, just let me know.
