that's like saying that UPMC surgeons cost a lot, and you found a guy downtown that will take your tonsils out for half the price.
Agreed; the only other place to consider within a 300 mile radius of Pitt would be CBRD..... otherwise the horror stories are numerous....some say that an orange Evo race car broke his spirit and desire of ever working on a car at his home again; others say that the Jeep monstrosity in his garage has been the breaking point but I'm sure you can work something out if he does it at Baierl...

I know that he is probably sick of me calling him for help from 100's of miles away. . Or that working on these cars will drive any sane person bonkers. In fact, i think he saved my car from being set on fire the other day by myself. You can't put a price on therapy sessions from your Mechanic.

I only go to laurel gardens tire service. Small family type business. They are very friendly, and you can tell that they care about what they do. Did a great job mounting and balancing my winter setup, and didn't charge me when I went back to get summers back on. They even cleaned the wheels after putting them on. It was also nice that the same guy did the work both times, and remembered my car

Not sure how far you want to travel, but I'll put in a plug for the shop I use - Moore Tire Service in Greensburg. They have the machine that applies a load to the tire - road force balancing or something like that (not just free spinning). It's supposed to be more accurate.

They help me out with the summer/winter change over. They also did a lot to help me keep my old eagle talon on the road. It's also one of the small mom & pop shops.

Hey if anyone one here by some chance buys the blue X from Georges trading post, I would put a test pipe or high flow and downpipe on it, the dealer I traded it to could care less that it was tuned and put the stock parts back on, it's still running 27psi. I'm not 100% if that will hurt it but just trying to help avoid anything bad
