I haven't posted in the thread in what feels like forever !! But I felt compelled to congratulate Dave for getting a goal accomplished... I don't think Dave posts his results for everyone's hooray's... I would guess its just a racer sharing his accomplishments with the local community cause well there's still a few of us that respect the amount of time money and dedication it takes to achieve our goals and expectations...

I give Dave a thumbs up for sticking with it even after things fall apart... I can relate... I been on the **** end of the stick with motor failures transfer case failures blown turbos etc.... So to see him still plugging away and not quitting to me shows a dude with some resolve and some true character as well..... Plus it's a 9 second car that's legit.... I dare anyone to challenge him to a quarter mile race including myself... Dave can probably out drive us all !!!

also, there seemed to be heaping amounts of butt hurt when no one jumped on to ride his loins around. just wanted to make sure that he knew that we truly <3 him.

 

Well in this game throwing money at a problem usually is the only way to fix it !! So I don't get that point.... And I didn't see Dave post anything about nobody riding his dick... I made the comment that ill be the first and only to congratulate him... Dave said nothing outside of posting his results.... He just commented back to what I had to say... Trust me I'm not Dick riding Dave .... I still think I got the fastest around LOL....

might be easier to get local support without the "f** the locals" attitude.

 

I guess when people are steady dissin in tags you end up with a **** the local attitude perhaps.... People usually seem to have more respect for folks that come straight out and tell someone to **** off versus someone that tells you to **** off hiding behind their anonymous tags !!

Just an observation perhaps

 

it's not like this is something that happened over night or just randomly to innocent folks.

certain people around here have worn out their welcome with quite a few of old crew on this board for various reasons.

 

 

Well I'm as much a "old crew" as anyone in this thread.... And I could give 2 ****s about what a newbie says.... And I also don't feel as its my right to root him out of the thread or feel as if he's being randomly attacked thru anonymous tags... If I don't like someone or something they say they will know it... I will either post it to be seen or even better yet say it to their face or directly thru a pm.... Just saying I don't understand where anyone has the right here to decide who gets to stay and who gets to go..... Just sayin

I have one, you still have one. Dan and Dave's aren't(I think) used much if at all as street cars anymore.

I haven't even seen an EVO 8 or 9 in months. The X's are about the only ones still moving. Typical of Mitsu I guess. They last about 5 years.

 

i don't think anyone here is making assumptions or overtures as to who should stay or who should go.

but 30+ year old men getting upset that no one has run in to the thread to love on them is a bit absurd honestly, don't you think?

all i'm saying is that it might be easier to find that "local support" if you took the time be supportive in the community and gave something back to it, instead of perpetuating an entitlement mentality that you're something special.

 

Ok ok I don't see how posting ones results means you feel a sense of entitlement.... Just saying if u were to post results of some super dope autox times I doubt you would recieve sarcastic remarks and sarcastic tags either..... I just don't see why one can't come into the local thread and share results of whatever kind without catching hate that's all !!
