Cross drilled and slotted is like wearing suspenders and a belt at the same time.

how do you figure?

the slots help keep the pads shaved flat, remove dust more effectively, and provide more surface area to dissipate heat.

the holes just help to ventilate the rotor.

seems to me both in combination would be a very effective design for performance.

I think the cited risk is that the rotors crack because of the slotted and drilled design. Who knows. I've run mine with no issues. The one guy runs his GT3 at BR with drilled/slotted rotors as well and doesn't seem to have any issues.

You email them what you want - they send you a quote, you paypal the money - they ship the goods......makes it extremely simple. Just make sure to request the premium rotors.

Also you can buy them through MAP if you like the comfort of an online catalog....

That is for cheap rotors. If they cut costs by using inferior material or try to cut corners on the crossdrilling, thats what makes them more prone to cracking. A proper cross drilled rotor should wear out before it cracks.

Oh. Seemed the point was redundancy?

Maybe I can offer them a real website for some rotors/pads.

Both are a unnecessary reduction in surface area. Doing both drilling and slotting is double pointless.

Does look cool though.

I've been buying rotorpros rotors for quite awhile and have had no problem with either their cross drilled or slotted rotors. They use Duralast blanks and don't drill through the veins of the rotor when cross-drilling (the main culprit for cracking - along with using junk blanks). At least that is what was explained to me when I talked to them like five or six years ago.

Any locals running the AWD 2 piece Aluminum Drive shaft? I'm pretty sure Curt is but wanted to see if anyone else had an opinion on it.

I have not heard of anyone really, Curt does highly recommend the drive shaft though.

What do you guys do about the rear end thunking on hard shifts? Whats the best of both worlds for a street driven evo?
