the slots help keep the pads shaved flat, remove dust more effectively, and provide more surface area to dissipate heat.
the holes just help to ventilate the rotor.
seems to me both in combination would be a very effective design for performance.
does rotorpro seriously not have an online product catalog/shopping cart?
am i look at the right site?

are you serious? it's 2011 and you're going to make me request a physical catalog?

I think the cited risk is that the rotors crack because of the slotted and drilled design. Who knows. I've run mine with no issues. The one guy runs his GT3 at BR with drilled/slotted rotors as well and doesn't seem to have any issues.

Also you can buy them through MAP if you like the comfort of an online catalog....
That is for cheap rotors. If they cut costs by using inferior material or try to cut corners on the crossdrilling, thats what makes them more prone to cracking. A proper cross drilled rotor should wear out before it cracks.
I read a huge article a while ago on slotted and drilled cracking but over time, Think i might just get slotted. Theres soo many options of rotors and pads hah. Im sending rotorpro an email now.
heres the link i had for MAPs link for VIII and ix rotors with options and price....i would think X should be similar....

I've been buying rotorpros rotors for quite awhile and have had no problem with either their cross drilled or slotted rotors. They use Duralast blanks and don't drill through the veins of the rotor when cross-drilling (the main culprit for cracking - along with using junk blanks). At least that is what was explained to me when I talked to them like five or six years ago.

I have not heard of anyone really, Curt does highly recommend the drive shaft though.
