I need some help, I put money down on a car there on March 9th and all was good. Once I contacted the seller on the 16th to tell him I'm ready to pick up the car he tells me he is no longer in MA. He is now in Atlanta, GA for a funeral which was on the 19th and he will call me after. I then asked when does he expect to be home, he said he didn't know but assured me the car was mine and he will contact me soon.

Since then I have not heard anything from him, I have called,texted,emailed, and left numerous voicemails. Still to this 27th day of March I have heard nothing. However I have had other people call him and he has answered the phone for them but sends me right to voicemail when I call. No answer to my texts,emails,or voicemails and I'm getting really worried and feeling ripped off. He wanted our deal to end with me getting the car by the 25th of March, but then agreed on the 1st of April. So once we reach the 1st of April what happens. I can't pick up the car if he will not allow it or will not contact me to do so. If he calls me on the 1st I will not have time to get from Florida to Everett, MA in time to get it on the same day. So what does this mean? Does he keep my money and the car because I couldn't be there for the deadline due to him avoiding me? What now? Do I get screwed out of money?

I need help!!!! If any of you live near there and want to help by going by his house and contacting a family member or some how help make this deal go through I will offer a reward.

I will pay $100 to anyone that can find this kid and help make this deal go through so I can get this car. I'm ready to fly out as of two weeks ago.

Did you give him cash or send $ to a paypal account?

If you only gave him $100 then maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

If it smells bad it probably is.

There's plenty of cars out there.
Find a car local to you. Good luck getting $ back...

 

Did you have any type of formal contract written up and signed by both of you stating the terms and price of the deal? If you just sent him cash I'm going to say you might be SOL. In that thread Bruce (Bruice988jl) probably knows him if he is talking to him using a first name. Have you contacted Bruce to try and help you out? Sorry man, I looked at the car and person and I dont know him.

 

Yea Bruce knows Mike the which is a friend of Bao H. Tran that lets him use his screen name from time to time but no one so far actually chills with this guy.

I sent it from a money request through paypal and it was a couple grand.

 

Let Paypal know about your situation. Document what's going on. You never know.

I'm in Boston. I bought my current whip from Bruce. I saw this same Evo on CL and I for some reason I avoided it. Everett is the next town over from me but it can be shady to say the least.

If I were you I'd contact Everett PD.

 

Dude file a dispute on paypal. If you properly sent the money with comments stating it's a downpayment and the seller couldn't sell you the car, then you get a refund.

File a claim and escalate to dispute. I've done it before. As long as you're within 45 days of the transaction they will investigate and find in your favor.

If that doesn't go through then call the PD.

I sent that type of $ because I'm an honest and sometimes nieve person. I'm a family man with a wife and 3 kids, I don't steal,scam or screw people over so I didn't expect this to happen to me. I was even careful as to how I sent it but was out whitted due to loop holes in paypal.
