PCD: Last year's version
I checked iRacing videos out last night. It's pretty cool. I'm not sure that wheeling a digital representation of a car around WGI with game controllers from the comfort of your own home is quite the same as controlling a 2000-3000 lbs machine up and down the hills in real life but we can all dream I guess.
This is not in reference to anyone so don't get excited.

anyone interested in doing Pocono North on October 9th?
it's $180 for one day. only 50 cars are allowed. so mad track time.

I use Logitech G25 setup that is 3 pedal and H pattern or lock Into sequential. The Fanatec stuff is good too. The only thing I wish I had was 2 axis motion setup to get the G effects. Since iracing supports even 3 axis setups. A must when we get our new place.
Spending money on simulations instead fo the real deal?
I agree very much with this. I ran 1:01 a Pocono North but 3 sec slower in wet condItIons. Even dry I would only be : 01-: 02.but the Evo is faster then the Miata. Just like Lime Rocks I turn 1:00 flat so I expect 1: 02 in the Evo. Though the same intracisies are still felt in the pedal and steering why "racing" online. I still hold back a lot knowing I didn't tow or put insurance on that weekend.
Not sure about the EFI event it would be a good time to dominate some Subarus. Evo vs STI road course edition.
It's just something to do when you dont go to track days or when it gets cold out with other track guys, stayIng "fresh" or practIce the week of. Aaron Dant and Mike McIver play on it too.. your bro is on it too but I never played with him.
