PCD: Last year's version
That kind of sucks. I didn't really have plans of going to Austin, Texas to see F1. I'd go to Quebec over Austin. The fact that the Australian V8 Supercars are coming to Austin is cool and if they had both F1 and V8 Supercars over a span of a week, I'd consider makin a trip.
In other news, Mercedes is making it Australian V8 debut...and Chau hooked it up for ALMS at Road Atlanta once again!!! THis "last" one will be epic before Grand-Am takes over.

That drunk guy was my instructor from the NNJ BMW event Dan and I did last year. He gets all fired up at these GVC events, I remember in May he was all tanked up and chatty. He's a nice guy though, I was talking with him before I left on Sunday. He's just mad jelly of how PCD represents at these events.. As most people are.

Chu, I think the Gramd Am/ALMS merger will be interesting. Both series are great and already flip flop drivers as it is.
Pete, I do sense a bit of envy from some folks at the track. I guess it isn't common for a larger group of friends with similar interests show up to those things. When you think about it we get a good number of people coming up and seeig what the deal it. We need a banner for more cred yo!

If there is someone I see two or three times at the track, and I have good conversation with them, I'm likely to keep in touch off track also.
here is a clip from Sunday AM with Pshooter and the black X playing in traffic. That X was nasty sounding. I thought he shot something at my car when I was behind him, lol.

Until they release the class structure, I have my doubts over this merger. From what I have read so far, which could all be speculation, I don't like the idea of merging the series. Making a spec class like DP the top class makes no sense to me. Why not just make the GT3 Porsches the top class too and slow down the GT cars while they're at it. I've never been a fan of Grand Am to be honest, and couldn't watch more than 15 minutes of the Daytona 24 Hours without falling asleep. End rant.
^ when you're in the advance/instructor group, you can pass any side that's open or other point you. the general rule for passing on inside of next corner is for beginner/intermediate group so it's more predictable. but advance/instructor should have good enough track awareness to pass anywhere. other clubs that we run with don't even require point by for instructors.
