need to figure out if there are any limitations on cltuch+flywheel fitment. I assume that if you can buy them both for stock fitment ... it'll work.

its a shame competition only makes a 9.5lb flywheel for the evo. Pretty certain that will be much to light.

cool.

This flywheel? That is the one I have been considering. Seems to be the best deal and it is chromoly, just not sure it'll fit.

I know most yall run twin or triple discs, but I cheap.
I'm using Competition Clutch stage 2 and love it. Engages good, feels like stock. Only complaint is, if I let the clutch slip a little( putting car on trailer) smells immediately. But it's cheap and if u sign up for the contingency program u get $$$ every time u race with NASA or RTA

I'm using the ACT Streetlite with mine. No fitment issues. I don't know that I notice much of a difference with the flywheel, the OE unit is pretty lite to begin with. I think the ACT only save 1 or 2 pounds over OE.

Thats fairly cheap, Ken. I paid $560 (shipped) for mine, and I had to check and "negotiate" with multiple vendors to get it at that price.

Maybe on some cars it is, but not ours.

Kenny, if you want to say some money, just buy a use stock flywheel and have it resurfaced by a machine shop. Cost not more than $50 to do that.

Exedy twin is up for sale when its through. That maybe 2017 at my rate of driving. It's a tough clutch and may be overkill for my set up. It also contributed to the number of hydraulic issues I had with the system.

Yeah, that would be the intelligent thing to do. I just want a shiny new one ... sure you can understand that!

Also, I read somewhere that the stock piece has heat transfer issues. Though, I'm pretty certain my clutch is just old (100k).

Gonna cost more than that when you figure in the cost of buying one used... If thats the route you're gonna take just get yours resurfaced. Me, I bought a used resurfaced on here for $125.

^ Kenny, as long as you're naked and touching your self, I'm cool with that.
