PCD: Last year's version
My car is classed as a IX, not an VIII.
5.1.10 B - Commerically available chin spoilers and air dams designed for street use are permitted.
My spiltter is commerically available and it stays on the car 24/7. Its not something I take on and off when I get to the track.
If you think my car isn't legal for the class why don't you sign up for the next RTA event and protest me. Oh wait, that won't happen cause all you do is run your mouth, not your car.

You do not have just a chin spoiler or air dam, you have a 5.2.10B(SPLITTER) a custom DIY splitter only legal in Modified class and higher. Which does significantly add aero advantage over stock explain at 5.1.10A. That thing has got to be at least giving 100# or more of downforce. The more you deny the worse you start to look, if I'm telling you it's not legal from the rules. Just run the correct class or take it off.
Sorry I don't memorize other peoples times/setups like you do. All I know is I remember you saying FA was helping you 'setup' the car by tweaking the suspension settings after one session then the alignment after another, but when I saw the results you were still in DFL with the same slow time. That tells me the driver is the one who needs tweaking, not the car.
Maybe if you spent more time focusing on your own business instead of other peoples setups/times you wouldn't be so slow around a race track.

Here's a picture of a chin spoiler vs splitter. Chin spoiler would be the SE lip/chin spoiler that you have behind it.

Your car is not a IX it's an 03 Evo, and never will be, Tuner class is not like SCCA SP, therefore a swap is also Modified class.

Again 1:26.5 down to 1:22.0, great improvement with car AND driver together. Pretty easy to DFL when only 2 entries, more like runner up. Better than being 1st all alone. I only care about peoples setups and times because a it makes sure they are following the rules AND it's hard data laid out in front of me and new Evo drivers after me. A benchmark if you will.. once I surpass you(if ever) then it's on to the next benchmark. Makes things easier to gauge my current times and work to being faster.

If you 'think' your interpertation of the rules means my car isn't legal for the class then why don't you sign up for the next event and come protest me? I know you won't because all you do is sit behind a keyboard and make excuse after excuse.
Keep patting yourself on the back for running 22's at lightning in an EVO. Thats a real accomplishment there.

Replace TB Shaft seals
Buy and install new radiator cap. 10whp gain, come at meh!
I hope I'll be able to make it out to a track one of these days. However, I won't be doing anything until I'm off of night work. Running during the third heat at CBP last week after working the night before was brutal.
I think I'll keep my car in STU for now. I know I have to work on the driver mod a lot before I can be competitive... but I found it more fun to push myself and my car to even care about competing. I think a better driver could have gotten under 60 seconds with my car the way it is.
