PCD: 2013-2014 Till We Break It Edition
Where do you get your info from?
This is from the blog:
"At Evasive, we had a set of JRZ RS1's, Volk CE28N's and Nitto NT05's waiting for us. These were the first parts I wanted to get on the car, for a few reasons. I knew fitment of the 285/35/18 NT05's would be tight. Mike at Evasive rolled the fenders straight away to help fit the beefy NT05's and 18x10.5 +18 CE28N's. The JRZ RS1's went on without issue, perfect. The story behind the Evo X RS1's is pretty cool - all of the data, testing and results gathered from my Evo X went directly into the development of the RS1's. That fact works perfectly with the theme of the 311RS!"

Finally got her towed back up here to North Jersey. She's currently sleeping in a storage unit I rented to work on her in. Sigh.
She actually started right up and the battery and all the electronics worked no problem! Even the passenger side headlight! I was able to move her a bit, but she ran rough because I didn't have a change to duct tape the MAF to the TB. I don't even know if the MAF is still intact.
Here are some photos I took with my phone last night when she arrived.
We will definitely have to set up a CTD BBQ Strip Meet!

Since we're talking about tires...I need some. I know all chu people have your own opinions, but are 285's a possibilty in regards to diameter?
Stock 245/40 - 25.7"
275/35 - 25.6"
285/35 - 25.9"
They are only .2" taller. That should be feasable, right?
A bigger concern might be the weight. 30lbs for 285 and 27lbs for 275. Or doesn't that matter all that much? Help a non-pro out here!

How I feel about wheel/tire size
18" wheels
18x9.0 = 255/35R18
18x9.5 = 265/35R18
18x10.0 = 275/35R18
18x10.5 = 285/35R18
Now you can obviously safely run a tire width one size lower or higher, but everything depends on the clearance you have as well. You might be forced to run a tire one size smaller to work with your setup (clearance).
When I had ordered my Federal 595RS-R's, I had to go with a 255/35R18 because they didn't have the 265's in stock. Otherwise I would have gone with them.

Done, BOOM!
No further discussion really needs to take place as far as I'm concerned.
