i've switch different pads on the same rotor all the time, sometimes 3 sets of different pads on the same rotor. never had issues, it's just some pads are more prone to deposits then other at certain temp range. i drive on street and DE on ST43, then put on DTC60/DTC70/ST47/RC6/DSUNO for TT.

You should always be willing to try new things to know what is best for you. Brakes are subjective as we all know.

It seems the carbotech lovers of the group quickly turned on them once trying something else. I'm interested to see what it's like on a different compound. I don't have much to complain about with the carbotechs aside from them tapering (I have a set of leftovers that are questionable because the outsides are so tapered) and I never ran into issues with torque until recently, the glen was probably where it was most noticeable. I just didnt have enough brakes there.

Just did a test stop leaving the track...I think I was on the damn abs all day. Street stops have zero shudder. It was happening on track all day with VERY light pedal pressure, def not hard enough that I feel it should have been triggering.

What wheel and tire combo are u on? DTC's are a lot of pad, you may have been... Did u have and instructor in the car with you? I feel like they should picked up on that if that was the case..

Rs3's with dtc60's. I solo with EMRA. I've never felt the evo abs before. Issue is it was happen as soon as I got on the brakes, there was no modulation point of where it shut off.

I was told 70's would def the too much pad but 60's would be fine.

Oh and Jordan's dad stretched a rod and took out a spark plug, while dominating his class by 2 seconds

17x9.5 rpf's with 255 rs3, 8k/10k Ohlins, racing brake directional vane slotted rotors. If it was in fact and it was basically engaging as soon as I touched the pedal. Neer did it on cl rc5's, and I ran the same pads at cold tire on 235 and worn star specs without issue.

Oh. Plenty of contact patch.. I don't know brotha. The pads will certainly bite harder when they're hot, maybe that's why it didn't happen on the street...?

i had brake shudder at high speeds only.

I bet if you tried to brake hard on a highway you may notice it again

i don't think it's abs, if it's abs, you'd fell it in the brake pedal. you just have pad deposit. i keep a spare set of CL pads around to clean deposit off rotors. they're are sintered iron and very abrasive when cold.

If the pad deposits or hot spots are on the outter edge of the rotor, you won't feel shudder unless you're braking hard at low speeds or moderately at high speeds.
