PCD: 2013-2014 Till We Break It Edition
lol no, jackass. give me some credit come on man.
got the calipers all rebuilt. one piston gave me some crap going back in, but overall the job wasnt bad at all.
the seals were definitely fine, but the dust boots were definitely smoked and upon removal looked like it was possible they were dried up enough and possibly pinching between the piston and the caliper a little. but that could just be my optimism that this will fix the problem. gotta bleed em tomorrow, then doing some light driving to my buddys house an hour away, and then will bleed the fronts again.
if this as well as freshly cut rotors and brand spankin new dtc60's doesnt solve my problem my season will be over.

Saturday was fun...till I ate some rotten cat at the Vietnamese place...spent from 2am Sunday till noon Sunday puking. Took some anti-nausea meds and a bottle of Pedialyte...missed work yesterday and am completely run down still now...likely going to head home in a bit.

I had bad brake shutter when I first started using dtc60/70 years ago. Found out later that they need heat or they shutter. I think st34 are perfect for street tires. Cheap, last for ever, easy on rotors, good modulation, dust is not as corrosive as hawk. I ran st43 on nt05 last week for 30 minutes shession, long time since I ran a shession that long, and no fade from the pads at all. Ran consistent 1:15's for at least 20 minutes.
Still going with the DTC60's? I think that's too much pad for you, Nate. From what I understand, if you don't get enough heat in those things they shutter bad. I think you should try a less aggressive pad and work your way up to those. Please don't take offense when I say that either, I just want you to go out and have fun while being issue free. Think about it at least... Good luck.
id run my set of rc5+'s i have on the bench, but they are a little too cracked for my liking. ideally i think id be pretty happy with a set of RC6's.
