what thickness shims do the pro's run? KNS sells 0.5/1/1.5mm

 

i have 1mm stainless shims. but most of the time i use two .5mm shims on each side. stainless conduct heat slightly less than Ti, and stainless is also cheaper.

it would be thought to fit new pads with 1.5mm shims

I was saying at Victory on Sunday that we should replace the Trackdaze event at NJMP with one of the Schattenbaum at both NJMP tracks this summer.

I doubt I'll do the March event.

 

So who wants to split a PCA membership?

 

I'll be at Thunderbolt on 3.18...but not doing the PCA event on 16-17.

I'll think about the march 16-17 schattenbaum event. I'm putting the early may WGI event as priority and may need to put money towards that instead of two days at njmp

We will see. A weekend at WGI is pretty damn expensive.

 

I know, I've done the math. That's why I got the BMWCCA membership, and dont' stay at fancy hotels. BOOM!

 

I got my 1mm stainless shims from Tim B., one of the locals here who used to track an Evo X. He should have a few sets left to sell.
