yeah i hear ya. LRP has become a bench mark for my car now tho, plus its the closest track to me (until thompson opens). for most people running there once or twice is enough haha.

you don't have enough time to do more than a few DE events per year as it is, why do you have this desire to go w2w???

when I got my car I initially wanted to progress from TT to w2w, but after seeing the cost, time, cost and cost involved in w2w I am more than happy to stay with instructing and TT.

Plenty of seat time doing both those things.
contingency is the same for TT as w2w; we both get plastic trophy and tires
cost is much less
time invested in much less
able to still drive car on the street
less wear and tear than a 20-30 min race(s)
if I crash its cause I'm a dumbass, not cause some rookie took me out over a plastic trophy.
I could go on here but I think you get my point.

I realized there is probably more a rush with w2w, but I get plenty of a rush right now driving my car at the limit for 10min in a tt session.

5 year plan. this **** job wont last forever, i feel like a women with that supposed glass ceiling effect (lol). i have no chance for moving up at this place, empty promises were made when i was a bright eyed new grad, so it is not in my best interest to stay much longer.

i know what the costs can amount to outside of DE/TT. i dont really mind them at this point as its about the only thing that keeps me sane. i do however think that costs can be distributed differently (parts vs track time for example) with other cars. i lost 3-4 track days this year due to the whole clutch/trans deal, some because of the car being worked on and others because it cost $3k.

im young, unattached and stupid...might as well have some fun while it lasts

I wouldn't be tracking an evo if I didn't get it for such a good deal. Still miss my s2k but evo is more practical to drove to track with tires in the car instead of trailer.

I still owe $30k on my evo. I took out a 30 year finance plan 6 years ago.
