do it, just make sure you have spares cause with it wont last long with the torque chu have with the 2.3L and fast spool turbo

 

It'll be okay. I drive easy. I think it would be the cheapest alternative right now and no downtime since I have everything needed. It will last 1-2 years imo. 5 speed synchros seem worn...hard to shift into gears at track.

 

If you have it sitting there you might as well... You have all the parts needed to do the swap?

 

I may just be missing the cables. Its sitting at Sandy's garage, and I think one of our friends needed the cables for his car. Should be cheap online.

 

Chu, if you do the swap, you're totally going to need a new shift knob.

 

I have 4 of them. I'm sure they all work just fine.

Just make sure you use the right shift knob. You don't want to mishift into reverse when trying to park.

Very important.

Yeah and if you have a five speed knob you'll be shifting to sixth when trying to get reverse, noob. The knob is about the most important piece in the swap.
