CT/MA -plate on front?

Hey all, just moved to MA, well CT in 1 more month. And i see you have to have a front and rear plate. WHat is the best way and how/where do you put the front plate on. I see EVO pics with them off to the side but really dont know how you put them on. If you guys could give me some input I would appreciate it. Also, In CT, what is needed to get my CT license at the DMV?? From what I know, my out of state license, CT ins card, and proof of CT address. But whats with this VIN verification report?? What is it and how do I obtain it? Oh yea, from what I gather Norwich office is the closest to NE CT, is that correct?

Thanks again for any info!!!

If you looking for MA info, here is a link to MA RMV:
http://www.mass.gov/rmv/

FYI, you will need front license plate in MA, unless you have green plate (obsolete). To get MA license, just walk-in to RMV with your out of state license, proof of MA license and take the eye exam.

What up Jay? Probably the best place to install it would be the factory location, with all the factory hardware. You could probably get away without even drilling the front bumper. Look under the left front edge of your bumper right above the air inlet for the brake coolers and see if there is a threaded sleeve. If so it will be no problem to add the factory plate holder on. You can have mine if you want it, it was the first thing I took off my car when I got it.

Whats up Jason... Hows it going. Anyway I dont have the factory hardware and am not sure of the location since I didnt need a front one in PA. Is this something I could probably get and recieve help at a dealer where I moved to in CT?? If so, maybe they could get me the hardware and do it. Anyway, if oyu have the factory plate holder for no use Ill take it. Anyway, ill talk to ya soon man.....

Yea the dealer could get you the parts I'm sure, but they would probably want way too much for it. The stock location is on the lower left portion of the front bumper. Kinda of in between the innercooler and the brake cooling duct. I'll try and find a pic for you. Send me your address and I'll send everything out to you. I have everything you should need. Just check on you car and see if you have the threaded sleeve under the left fron corner of your bumper.

Not to advocate doing something "against the law", but I haven't had a front plate on my Evo since purchased last June. I have been pulled over a few times without it being mentioned. Most Connecticut cops don't seem to care, just don't call too much attention to yourself. Hell, we can't even get the emissions programs up and running. We are still a tuner friendly state!

I dont think cops realy seem to care if you have a front plate or not. Ive been running without one for 4 years and they havent given me any problems, so I wouldnt realy worry about it.
BTW there is a DMV office located right in putnam. Its only a sattelite office and is only open a few days a week. Its located near PJ donuts, and by the waterfall in the old section of town.
When you move to putnam we should meet up sometime, I dont know of any other evos in northeastern CT.
