Considering purchasing a IX
Hello all ~
I'm considering purchasing a IX SE this week. Previously I've owned a 2003 Rally Red VIII, and a 2005 Tarmac Black VIII. Right now I own an Acura TL Type S (Vtec son
) I owned those Evo's in Florida... where it didn't rain much and there was alot of open roads with minimal traffic.
Money is not an issue right now but i'm not sure I could really enjoying owning an Evo IX living in Seattle.
I live in downtown (Belltown) and I work six blocks from where I live. I have covered parking in a garage, but I hardly use my car as it is. The weather has been quite wet and ****ty since i've been here (3 months)...
Are there any nice places to drive? I hardly know the area outside of downtown Seattle. I know I-5 but it is also pretty packed... are there any roads you can "open up" on? Pretty drives? Which way would I head?
Thanks for the info

have you considered purchasing a sea doo ? hear it rains alot there... i wanna move to the desert or something where there is no rain!!!
If your not going to drive it much its not a bad choice since it is not the most "comfortable car " to drive...
do it anyways! keep us posted

I had an VIII and now I have a IX. The IX has more power hands down in stock form. I like the IX much better. I travel to Seattle sometimes, and the last time I was there was in August 2006. It was 80 degrees the five days I was there...beautiful weather...no rain at all
Seattle area is pretty lame as far as being able to have fun with your evo - the best roads are near monroe and duvall, luckily closer to me. I can't say I've enjoyed my car this entire **** winter.
i used to live in south florida and it seemed that all the open roads were the highways, lots of freeway racing there. i think theres alot more roads here that you can push the evo's handling capabilities, also pacific raceways is 20 minutes away. And when it rains or snows better to have awd!

Yeah like Towelie says you gotta get out on the back roads in Duvall, Monroe some parts of 202 heading to Snoqualmie, Parts of East Lake Sammamish (or most roads into Sammamish) etc. etc.
The summer is pretty nice and dry but the rest of the year can die...wish I was back in FL
