Bah! How did you get them to take the chicane out? I havent been there when they removed that yet, and I really would like to try that out sometime. What group were you running with?

For timing I just hook up a camera to the car and pick a start and end point, so in that respect my times are probably best displayed with a +/- 2 seconds rule, with err on the side of +2 Most peeps run in the 1:30's with the chicane in, and without some good grippy tires, its hard to go much faster. Love that track though!

Ive done a couple of Team Contenential's day at pir. Great bunch of guys and very helpful. We just ran a test day for one of the quickest evo race cars around here anyways. I think the quickest was a 1:25 the only problem was as soon as we got one lap we would catch up to some one and get thrown off grove again. But thats what you get for going to a Elise day . J/K there were some very nice cars out there f430, 4 or 5 decked out s2000's, nsx. Anyways was a great event.

Holy smokes i just finall read the entire post to be in the 120's is amazing for a street car considering gt series race cars are in those lap times.

On my kart I use a mychron 3 datalogger with a beacon, for the evo just a mini DV camera and then edit in a program to capture lap times.

Anything in the 1:20's is amazing, at least in a stock car. I have been to several SCCA events watching the GT series, and they generally run 1:24ish, if they dont get held up.

My fastest run was 1:27, and that was only because I didnt get stuck behind any one, I actually hit turns 4, 5, 6, and 7 so perfectly I almost screwed up 11 and 12 because I was so excited. Wish I could do that everytime. I guess the revealing time would be my average, which is 1:31. And as anyone that has done a PIR track day with full chicane, 4 seconds is a long time.

See you guys at the track!

I've also done a couple of days with Team Continental. I've been pretty happy with them; they share alot of good info in the classroom session the night before too. Although they always try and talk me into going real racing.

what mph are you guys hitting on the front and back straights?

9,000mph!

I'm totally stock and I'm not exactly sure what my max speed is on the back straight. I have tried looking down, but I usually look up before I'm actually totally done accel, but it's around 125mph give or take a few mph. I think in general the front straight is a little slower unless you are running with no chicane then you might get another 10-12mph.

The only mod I have is 255 RA1's.

Scawt: I haven't heard jack from the lady with the alfa club.....lame. I even called and left a message with my ph#.

You guys talking about your times in the evo, what kind of tires? Hoosiers? RA1s? Stock tires?

I need a place to mount my mini-DV camera. It was easy on the S2000. How do you guys mount yours? Do you guys have full cages? harness bars? something else I don't even know about? What mount? Help a brotha out...

the track is getting paved in the fall, so that wont be a problem anymore.

As for times, I havent run anything too great in the Evo (1:32 w/the chicane, and bone stock). All my best times came in my Z06. A high 16w/o the chicane, and a mid 25 with. The car was stock except tires, and brake pads.
