hks eids help
whats up fellas, I own a yellow evo8 . I have hks racing intake, hks cams and cam shafts, xs engineering intercooler, and a agency power bov. I was wondering if anybody would like to help install the eids. My idle a tad rough. I live in snohomish county. Is there any good tuning shops up in snoho?

I just got this in the mail last week. It doesnt look that difficult to install but I rather have someone knows what there doing install it. Likes I said the idles rough but doesnt die at a complete stop. This eids is suppose smooth it out. Iam still waiting for my hks bov to arrive. Is there any good shops out in snoho besides vtr or is that it?

the eids is only suposed to help whenyou use a VTA BOV on the stock maf, if your idol is that ruff as it sounds like you have the 280's bump up your idol with the idol screw. it will take two seconds

if you look at the throttle body put your hand wher eit connects to the intake mani and you shoudl feel a round indentation the screw is in there and you will need a stuby phillips head to mess with it, righty tighty, lefty loosey have the car running and check back the rpm constently and you will know what the new idol is at
Much easier to do this in the ECU where you can do even more than just raise the idle to get rid of the idling problems he seems to be having...
yeah i agree with raiceboi697, without a cable the iddle screw is his best bet for now, but i strongle suggest getting a cable and reading up a little about ECUFlash. the evo is in a completely higher level than hondas when it comes to stock ecu tunning. You just need to make sure to mark the iddle screw were its at now before you adjust it, and when you go to get it tunned or fixed via ECUFlash then you can set the screw back to its original position.
