clutch @ 9k? What are you doing???
Driving it the way it should be driven

The clutches on the X are way shotty not to mention the cmc is plastic and mitsu wont cover either under warranty, not that I'd want them too. So I just took it from their shop and did the work myself, saved a G. but went with the clutch master fx 100 in hind sight bad idea so now I will be doing it again

@ 9k sounds like you aren't driving it correctly. I didn't know the clutch on the GSR was bad. I've only only really heard about the MR setup not being stout.

The clutch in the GSR is fine . Plenty of guys have 50k+ on the stock clutch. Just doesn't like a ton of abuse. The MR clutch is stout, just has electronic failsafes to protect the drive train.

Yah I've heard of the master cylinder being bad, when adding an aftermarket clutch. There are a few things to try.

Try this on the factory master cylinder: http://www.amsperformance.com/cart/A...ment-Ring.html

Try this if you want a total replacement: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/to...-solution.html

I would have to disagree with that, there may be guys with 50,000 miles on stockers but there are plenty of guys that have had the same issues that I have had as well, Maybe bad batches or some thing and I've only ever driven manuals w/one exeption and have never had any issues anywhere near a clutch going out like it did on me, 5th doing 60 on I-5 and it just completely failed no warning at all.

And magnus cmc is the way to go essentually just and aluminum plate with a 9's cmc but well worth it, I have picture of my failed cmc, completely blown in half and the clutch fried, from me trying to get off the interstate.

Hello everyone!
I just picked up a wicked white ralliart sportback. Then moved the family from San Francisco to Seattle. So if you see a stock car with a thule rack, it might be me .
Reading this thread seems like everyone drives EVO's. Hope you got some love for the RA.

There are a few RA drivers up here too. Looking forward to seeing the RA SB, have only seen a handful of them driving and they are a cool little car.

To those who expressed interest in what game I was working on, my game has finally been officially announced so I can tell you what it is now.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

http://www.hiddenpath.com/games/csgo/

At some point in the coming months we'll be having a beta, I'll see what I can do about getting interested people in when that time gets closer.

Awesome!
I've been playing that game since the beta days of the original.

So does that mean you were stationed at Oceana or Norfolk before?
I was at Oceana a couple years ago.

There's a few of us that are on base, I'm in VP-69 at Hangar 7. While I don't have a Evo, I do have the only Galant Wagon in town, so I'm super easy to spot on the road.

Hi all. You might see me around Redmond, Woodinville and to/from Capitol Hill. White 08 Evo GSR, Perrin stage 2, TWM short shifter & bushings, Ralliart tail lights, Alpine / Focal spkrs / JL Audio amp. Trying to get 3M Di-Noc to look decent on the dash. I got bored with Audis last year, so this is my new toy. Still love my GTI, too. Would love to meet up for weekday lunch, weekend drive.

I do market research, mostly for tech product development and marketing.
Dom

^Welcome to the group! I've seen white X's in the Redmond-ish area, like Avondale. I don't think anyone spoke up on here. We do weekend meets pretty frequently, and I am pretty sure there are a couple coming up. check the "sticky" event thread in this NW section.
