I think what you meant to say is, "I was doing fine until drink #3, or at least half way through #2"

But that's ok, we knew what you meant.

Of course there are females on this thread. Some of us just got a little busy lately. Dealership wants to wetsand the EVO, and I'm a little concerned with that procedure on a new paint finish, so I've have had to run around trying to figure everything out. I've got a bad case of orange peel on the EVO...dealer didn't prepare the car correctly in the beginning on this new car, so I'm afraid to let them touch it again. Then everyone is giving me additional advice on what to do. Some detailers say use Maguires 3-step process using the fine cut cleanser first, and then another detailer says it can just be clayed. Problem is that the dealership has it on their record that they need to wetsand it, so I'm worried if I don't go with their process they will say everything in the future with my paint is my fault...and you know the problems with Mitsu's paint. Then to top it off, panel fell off the door of the Sebring and I can't find the clips here in Canada. So it's been car issue after car issue lately, then work, then Christmas, etc, etc.

Hey girls, what happened in my absence with the calender pics?

^definitely go to the dealer. Have it documented and have them put in writing that they will cover any other issues with the paint. The dealer really shouldn't be prepping the cars other than maybe a detail (you're lucky to get even that down here). Unless this is part of some post-buy paint coverage process, etc.

All factory paint these days have a tiny little bit of orange peel. It's just the way it is. You're a picky girl I bet. So, have you put Fabio in Super Sport mode yet?????? Also, factory paint is completely different than automotive refinishing paint from body shops. The clear on your car was sprayed on a long time ago and had plenty of time to fully cure. If you really want to get rid of that orange peel, you can always finely wet sand and cut and buff the entire car. But I would really be careful about doing that. Especially from a dealer. You will have to worry about some 18 year old kid with a power buffer on your 40K car. Not worth it, live with it I say.

... Fabio???

What color did you get? If you got black or red I'd suggest doing the maguires 3-step. Then put a really nice cabana and sealant over it. The reason I say this is because those two colors oxidize very quickly. It will help protect them a bit more.

Grats on the new MR. I love mine to death

I think hers was the graphite gray color so the imperfections is just going to show more than the rest of them. That's why I like silver, everthing just relects back. You can't see jack and even when it's dirty it looks clean.

Oh, that's what she named her car. Hahahaha.......silly.
