differance between recirculating and circulating?

i have a HKS SSBOV and it recirculates. i was debating on wheather to get it circulated. i like the noise. but does it give you better response if it is recrculating? and does a stable idle work.

so i should leave it alone. i was goin to upgrade to an injen hardpiping system. i might just keep it recirculating.

Idk what your mods are but you can go speed density and you can VTA.

Definately don't go VTA on the HKS, your car will be stalling a lot and will drive crappy like previously stated. If you are in it for sound, get a half VTA/half re-circ BOV.

If you get an intake system that's hard piped you hear it anyway, even if it is on recirculate.. just not as loud.. but you can still make it pretty loud if you want it to be.

Venting on a maf is bad idea in general unless you have a blow through setup. The maf calculates the amount of air that comes through the intake and the ecu responds with the proper fuel mixture for that specific amount, now when you are venting, all that predetermined air flow just got dumped out the bov and you flood the engine with fuel thus running richer between shifts and like crap. However if say, you vented right as you were coming onto an offramp on the highway and pushed in the clutch to coast or upon stopping the engine flood with fuel and stall out, because the ECU still thinks there is X amount of air flowing through, when really there isn't.

So unless you have a blow through setup with a GM Maf or switched over using a MAP sensor for speed density, don't vent. Brakes don't work that great when the motor isn't running.

Yeah, I don't have any problems holding boost or rich AFR spikes with my HKS VTA and I've never had it stall. Occasionally it makes the MAF not happy but it's really pretty darn rare. Rare enough that I really don't notice it. And when it does, it goes away with just a little throttle control. Maybe it's case by case, I don't know.
