Issue with front idler pulley (60k service) Help!!

I can't get the front idler pulley off because the bolt runs into the frame. I'm not sure why this is. I've tried lowering and raising the engine (top passanger side motor mount is off).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Pic no worky....

Talking about serpentine belt? To remove that, just gotta pull passenger wheel, use 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar (no sockets, it's a square hole), and lever counter clockwise.

If that's not what you're talkin about, then no idea lol.

Weird, I can see the pic.

No, I have the s-belt off. It's one of the pulleys on the s-belt.

I'm about to do the same project..... I'm replacing the tensioner, belt, and the pulley. What all did you pull to lower the motor enough to get the pulley bolt out???

You have to remove the motor mount on the top passenger side (3-14mm bolts and 1-19mm). Put a piece of wood on a Jack and put that under your oil pan. Put a little pressure on it and the motor mount will come off easily. Lower the Jack till you can get the pulley's bolt out.

Just keep lowering the engine with the Jack. Go little by little until its low enough to get the bolt out.

Back out the two bolts in the front cross member, the one that runs front to back with the frt motor mount--that allows the motor to drop that extra 1/2inch to pull that bolt out easily---just did it myself. Dont need to remove the bolts just back them both out and it wil drop.

I think it's the serpentine belt auto tensioner.
