the fort irwin and surrounding area blow donkey *****. They are a desolate God forsaken ****hole. I sewer, I drove through a town called Yermo of something the other day and it looked like a ghost town, all but like 3 houses were boarded up and decrepit...

Who would choose to live in a place like this?

Oh no, I live in WA. Glorious WA. im down in this pit stain of a place for work for a month.

 

I have friends from washington and oregon that say Cali is like hell, I believe them because i've never been to Washington or Oregon. Where in Cali are you? Cali isn't so bad where I am.

 

Anywhere in california not along the Pacific Coast is going to suck as it is mostly farm land.

Trust me, I grew up in the central valley.. couldn't wait to get out.

 

It's not Cali that sucks... It's being stuck in the middle of NOWHERE that sucks. The closest decently sized town to you is what, Barstow?

Yeah im near barstow. Im on fort irwin for a month, I haven't seen **** but a hill and some sand. And a bunch of sunburned soldiers.

 

Life sux then you die. Get used to it.

You guys need to get out and live a little. I hear desert is some of the most beautiful scenery out there. I have never spent time in it, but I am building my '78 Chev into an expedition rig just to go to places like that.

But to be fair, I dislike most of society, so desolation suits me.

 

Oh I imagine the dessert could be if seen properly. Done with the military...not so much!

I didn't really make this thread to complain about life, im just bored, and stuck out here and have parts at my house ready for install.
