Outlander Sport (RVR) HID Kit
I would never place those things inside the headlights, I don't think you can properly secure them. Maybe that's OK if all the roads are as smooth as a racing circuit, but here that isn't the case...
As for the balasts, there's more then enough room in the ASX/OS to hide them.
Mine are behind the plastic sidewalls. Those that you have to remove to be able to swap out parking lights.

Help
I need help with my new RVR SE (outlander sport) I'd like to install HIDs but there are so many options and issues that some websites state. I'd like a cost effective install but a proper one. I've heard about warning cancelers, does this car need those for the HID install?
I have my entire HID system inside my headlight housing. I don't remember if it's the low or high beams I have it inside, butasdfa;jlsdkfj
Found it, it was my high beams that I had to drill the cover and fish the harness through

The projectors in the non-HID ASX are designed for halogen bulbs. If you want maximum output, a retrofit is your best choice -- Philips 85122+ bulbs, Mitsubishi/Matsu s h i t a 35w ballasts and projector lenses (2.5"-3" bixenon projectors) designed for HID bulbs. The result is bright light with a sharp cutoff and bulbs that last for years.
Hey guys I'm going to purchase my hid kit. I just want to make sure I get everything I need, do you guys know it it need a wire hardness for a 6000k 35w kit and also the error eliminator. I getting mine from DDM
