Now I know you have the camera feature on that Pioneer AVIC-D3 of yours. It's amazing that even at high noon, without a cloud in the sky, and the glass top completely open, you still cannot see a silhouette inside. I've called it my dressing room, when I change out of my suit into my sports apparel to whatever hobby I'm going to that day.

At night, oncoming vehicles with aftermarket HID's, and especially in the rain, doesn't even phase us with the huge glare reduction.

Just be careful if you ever get into accident. If the other driver finds out about your tints, they can claim negligence on your part due to your obstructed view.

I hope it never gets to that point again. It's funny you mentioned that. My first DSM was 5% on the entire windshield too. A girl pulled out in front of me at 65mph and when I hit her, the entire motor and transmission dropped, airbags deployed, and totaled my '97 Eclipse. The windshield was completely cobwebbed, and I know they already have multiple layers but after all was said and done, the windshield tint kept the windshield from literally falling in. The whole left side was sagging, and I could push down on the windshield as if it was one big packing tape holding the windshield in place. Glass was still everywhere from the side windows shattering, but am grateful I did have the entire windshield tinted. Window tint never became a factor in the entire settlement.

That's a great color, would be interesting if the Evo 10 came in that color.

How on earth do you drive at night with that dark windshield tint?

When you've been driving a car that's had the front windshield completely tinted that dark for 23 years, it's normal? When I drive my wife's Spyder(hers only has the 5% tint on the strip because she wasn't sure she'd like the whole windshield done when we did her tint), I feel like I'm blinded by every oncoming car, especially because hers is lowered.

Wesley actually reminded me that I never updated this thread when I installed my Pioneer navigation and wrapped the center console in carbon and had the Mitsubishi emblem raised in the center. Here's a picture of it...

With the subtle raised Mitsubishi logo...

Now that I think I've caught up on my simple build thread, after I install the aftermarket taillights, I should be installing the Volk Racing GT-7 wheels on. I took them apart and have been hand polishing them whenever I have the chance. Our wedding took a lot of planning and was in November, so I've barely had time to put effort into them.

Another reason it's taking me so long to put them on, was because I wanted to get the coilover setup. Now that I have that, things should be going smoothly.

The final thing that's delayed me in getting the wheels installed is that I plan on buying a set of tires for the OEM wheels I have on now, for my project Galant VR-4 that is completely torn down. It's jackstand ballin' on some flat Talon/Eclipse combo wheels. I'm going to have Dory's wheels on the Galant VR-4 until I get Volk Racing wheels for it. So in an essence, I'm buying a set of 20" tires for the Outlander Sport, and a set of 18" tires for the Galant VR-4...and I don't buy cheap anything.

Here's the wheels with them apart. They will be 20x9.5" in the front and 20x10.5" in the rear...

Thanks to infected for helping us with the Group Buy, and the awesome write-up and illustration. Looks awesome and I also upgraded the parking lights, license tag frame lights, interior trunk, and reverse lights...all to Super Bright LED's. Next on the list are color matching those rear backup sensors, reflectors on the bumper, and the engine cover.

A few steps closer to installing the Volk Racing wheels.
