Thanks. Yes the RVR is still around, haven't really had much time to update but it's more or less been the same. Glad to see another Calgarian!

You've done a lot of great jobs infected. And thanks for the writing. I've got '13 RVR GT with 710W stereo. My wife was not happy with the narrow slot stereo unit with the GT.

Changing to the double din headunit isn't a problem for me as I have done same for my '03 Honda Odyssey. I haven't done such to the RVR as I am afraid it might void the 10-year warranty because I would disconnect some original equipment (Forsgate thing).

Did you get consent from Mitsu beforehand to be sure that such wouldn't void the warranty? And is yours with the 710W subwoofer (I guess no)?

Thanks.

I did a little bit research of the parts needed, all the accessories cost over 400 dollars, not counting the head unit yet. Guess I will pass doing this for GT.

Probably I will pick a SE trim with already a double din receptacle, and without the useless Fosgate, so the only accessory would be just the metra harness.

Thanks anyway and have fun.

Thank you for the write ups and updates infected! I just bought a 15 outlander sport after owning a 2000 wrangler for 15 years(still own just retired as dd) and after 1 week thought of how un-modifiable the outlander is. Thank you for proving otherwise. You do some very clean diy work. How did you go about debadging it? My Jeep i just had to peel stickers off.

Thank you for sharing these steps.
However, if I may, I have an observation: the way the wire crosses over the A pillar, it seems to be interfering with the side-curtain airbag's deployment path. I will route mine in-between the A pillar cover and the windshield.

Was it a 1000ohms resistor that fixed it? I haven't seen 1000ohms mentioned and 100ohms on other places but can't seem to track down the correct resistor ohms and voltage specs and I've tried twice. Thanks!

The kit from VVME is direct plug and play. I've always had positive experiences with them.

There is an option for a relay but I opted out thinking the low beams will be on full power anyways during the night. The factory wiring should be capable of handling a 35W HID kit compared to the stock 55W halogen.

Stock passenger vs HID driver.

I hid the ballasts behind the splash shield under each corner of the fender. The wires tuck away nicely and there are extra holes on each side to mount the bracket. Gotta always appreciate a clean install!

Hey'all just a quick question here. I did realized that I bought a 55W instead of 35W 6K HID and was wondering if I need to use a relay to make a sufficient supply of power? I noticed too that you mention that the regular bulbs are 55W's so not really sure if plug and play scenerio applies to my situation. Thank ya'll.

So tried to install the HID Kit and noticed a lot of flickering so I think I answered my own question that I will really need a relay this to fix my flickering issue and get enough supply for the HID's.

Weathertec is expensive for mats, but I definitely have these on my list. I love the utility. (Sorry so late, just joined).
