Oil life reset

I was using the synthetic 0w-20 from Honda, I feel the car is much smoother and quieter. But I can't reset the oil life. I follow the steps from Mitsubishi forum which press and hold the info button and press it agin when the wrench is flashing. The oil life did not reset instead just change the kilometers to 10xxxkm/1 month which was very strange. I went to the dealer to reset this time. They used the computer to do it and they said I can't do it by my own. So any of you who change the oil yourself or from other places, please advise on this. If I can't find a better solution, I will just turn the reminder off. thanks

The dealer forgot to reset mine once, I called them and they talked me through it on the phone, so I guarantee it is possible. I'm sorry, but I don't recall how to do it.
