Finally, a means to the end of complaining...

"In 2015 the Outlander Sport will be fitted with larger engine and a new, quieter CVT returning better acceleration and fuel economy. In 2016 it will also be redesigned, and it will be equipped with the company's new telematics system that goes into the Outlander the following year."

Honestly, I think it will be the 4J12 from the larger Outlander. It probably wont feature the S-AWC system, but it would be a 2.4L with 166 HP. This engine also gets very good fuel economy, with S-AWC 4-cylinder Outlanders getting mid to high 20's in normal driving. I'd be interested in seeing how it fares in a smaller, lighter vehicle.

So there you all go. Your ray of sunshine. Start saving your pennies, 2015 is right around the corner!

First of all... it Ain't Complaining when we speak fact!

So, I suppose Mitsu finally saw the error of their ways and started to listen to the customers!! A 2.4L engine is a very good start.

A better CVT is another plus.

And, thank you for giving us the heads up and good news!

First of all the definition of complaint is a statement that a situation is unsatisfactory or unacceptable. You all made statements that the power output is unsatisfactory, correct? So therefore, it is a complaint. You're confusing complaint with whining which not only aren't the same in terms of definition, but a word that I did not use.

Moving on, the text on both Edmunds, where that article was sourced, and AutoBlog say "in 2015..." but it comes across as unclear as to whether this is model year 2015 or calendar year 2015. The use of the word "in" signifies that it would be calendar year, but often times this is mistranslated and not clarified. If its MY 2015, then the change could come as early as September; if its CY 2015 then obviously the change would be 1/1/2015 - 12/31/2015.

All right now.. I think someone is skipping the "t"s and just dotting the "i"s.

You've stated "complainIng..." in your title.
Like it was not just a single-time complaint, but a constant Repeated/Looping problem heard many times over.

Perhaps I'm just reading too much into "a means to the end" or those three little "..." ?

If the 2.4L only comes with 166hp, I will still complain "IF" I get another one.

just turbo this thing or tune the direct injection for it and call it 200 NA to 260+ for a turbo'd "Sport" model. Rally edition with the EVO seats and some thicker sway bars and I'm "ALL IN".

PM'd for "further clarification"

Moving on yet again... Theres no word on whether the 2.4L 4J12 will be used. Its just the most logical choice since it gets better fuel economy than the 4B12 it replaces. Its just speculation on my part.
