HID install on ES?

I have a 2014 2WD Outlander Sport ES. I want to install an HID kit, but i am not sure about the headlight bulb size. Different sites i have gone to either show the 9005S or H11. Anyone know the exact bulb i should be using if I want to install a HID kit?

What a waste of freaking money! Now I have to order 9005 replacement bulbs which isn't too bad since they're $15, but now I have an extra pair of D2R! I don't understand how the hell did some of you previous year Outlander Sports used D2R bulbs, because the base plate where the bulb screws into the headlight housing is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!

Oh and my low beams are HB11 EXACTLY.

2013 Outlander Sport ES
Low Beams: HB11
High Beams: 9005

I also shoved everything into the headlight housing

Check the owners manual for the bulb size. Also are you putting Xenon blubs in a Halogen reflector housing? if so you will be scattering the beam blinding people because its not focused properly. you better think about a projector retrofit unless your ES comes with the projectors and Halogen blubs. If so then you are ok and just need a HID Kit.

The non-HID ASX models use projectors for halogen bulbs so one shouldn't expect to fit D2S bulbs in there. You can fit Chinese made HID bulbs in the halogen projectors but don't expect a super-sharp cutoff. For optimal results, an HID retrofit is still your best bet.
