Towing with OS

Does towing void the warranty? The sales staff "dont recommend towing" but I'd like to be able to take my bombardier to the lake (5 minutes away literally).

Can anyone advise (aside from speculation) please?
Thnx

Why don't you contact Mitsubishi's head quarter directly (US or Canada, depending on your location)?
Nobody can advise you here in this forum without some degree of speculation. Do not ask your local dealer either because during the lifetime of your vehicle you may move or the ownership of the local dealership may also change. You will need a written answer from Mitsubishi US or Canada directly.
When I questioned the service frequency of my dealership (in particular the very first service) I wrote to Mitsubishi Canada. I have their response in writing that the local dealership has the right to set the service periods depending on the location of the car, regardless what is stated in the owner's manual (regular or severe maintenance plan). This is my free pass to prove that I acted in good faith in case something happens with my engine and someone (either the local dealership or Mitsubishi Canada) wishes to put the blame on me.

I've poured over my Mitsu warranty booklet and there is no exclusion listed for towing. I know there is some talk that towing is not recommended, but even the dealers install hitches for customers. Ostensibly for bike racks and the like. In the absence of a written exclusion I think legally they would have to honour the warranty unless they could prove it was some sort of abuse (ie. towing a 3000 lb trailer). But it would be a heck of a legal battle. I would strongly suggest you call Mits USA and get their position in writing (although I cannot imagine a short, light tow causing any issues. BICBW)

mRVRsport beat me to it. I tow my waverunner all the time with no problem a lot longer than 5 minutes away. Just ease into the throttle. Be gentle and you should have zero issues pulling a ski/sled
