Tow points?

Hello all,

Just picked up a '15 outlander sport 4wd. I was wondering if there were any recovery points on the rear of the vehicle?

Thanks

Mike

Congrats. Good choice in getting the AWD.

There use to be a tow loop 'piece' underneath, but Mitsu has since removed it.

Now they expect you to get one of these...
to stick in the rear bumper, I guess.

Or,
If you get a Curt hitch installed, you can get a hitch loop >

USed to have one on my 2011, but was removed for the hitch install. There are lots of custom one like http://benen.com/shop/tow-hook/rear-tow-hook Frankly, though I would not want a permanent install. You know, there might actually be a place underneath to bolt on a factory one (from the location where the hook is removed for hitch install)

Sorry bud, seems to be leaving off bits left and right these days, who knows what they'll whack off next.

So, what are you trying to tow (or tie down back there) anyways?

Gotcha, same goes for me.
Then it probably be best to just install a hitch and get what I got too- that hitch loop. Better safe than sorry..
