Wipers sticking

Anyone else having issues with there wipers stick around the middle of the windshield? I thought it was the blades but I changed them. feels like they just don't have the juice in the lower 2 setting to come all the way back down to the set position and just stop mid windshield.

Nope! I use Rain-X on the glass. Will be testing Aquapel soon. I would clean the glass really well and see if that helps.

Or, hit the wiper joint with a squirt of silicone lube

I've had Aquapel sitting on my shelf for a year. I guess I should try it.

Strange, I had pretty much the same thing happen just the other day. I just added it to the list of things to look at next time I get an oil change.

Weird part for me is it did it in the morning on my way to work when I just flipped it once while there was a good amount of dew on the windshield. Finally got the suckers back down because they kept stopping anywhere but where they go. That evening after work it was pouring down rain, and they did the same thing. On the one tap or lower settings they'd keep getting stuck but on the highest setting they worked fine, even after it stopped raining.

They seem to be working now, but I want them to make sure the motor isn't going out or something.

Side note, also have new wipers & windshield was clear of visible debris.

that's how it all started for me, now if they are not on the high setting they are getting stuck it is frustrating to say the least, I have to put them on the highest setting then when they are going back down flip them to off setting real fast so they stay lowered... and it takes like 3 or 4 tries.

Annoying as hell..
Seems to me it's just wiper sockets getting a bit dry (Could the seals around them gone bad? to allow in dust/dirt. Making them just a tad difficult for the servo to lower them properly), cause they obviously can go all the way back down, just not on the normal speed settings.

Definitely try to lube those with silicone spray. (Don't use any petroleum based lubrications though. That'll destroy rubber O-rings)

I used this stuff generously but I am still having the sticking problem, I bought some rain X to see if that will help things as well.
On another note I bought 2 narrow replacement blades that were 18" (they came in a 2 pack) they were $6.88 at auto zone and I cut them with a knife to fit my rear wiper! Super easy to do, it worked great, and I have a second replacement wiper in the future.

Did you remove the wiper arm, so to get to the socket better with the spray?

That's good to know, it's about time to replace my rear wiper blade too.
Thanks for the heads up.

One thing I do that might help you is use a clay bar on the glass. Gets rid of all sorts of surface contamination that could cause sticking.

I did not pull the wiper blade arm completely off, I was not sure how to do it so I just gave it a few good sprays in the cracks with the lube and straw attachment.

I just dropped mine off at the factory service center, as the dealer I bought it from closed their Mitsubishi dealership. They are telling me they found a lot of gunk and water in the connector, which they are claiming is not covered by the warranty. They are trying to see if they can get it covered. Mine havent been working properly for a while, sometimes going full tilt, other times stuttering. My wife drives this car for the majority and it wasn't all the time. Wonder what they will quote me, they said that the CVT drain and fill takes 8 quarts...could have sworn i saw it was only 4-5. Found this site thanks to google. trying not get to bent over.
