Possible to Add Automatic Headlamps?

My charming bride wants to know why the RVR/OS does not have automatic headlamps. Has anyone ever added that feature?

Auto headlamps after dusk, are standard features on '13, I believe.

Yes, but that does not help me on my 2011. It seems as though one would need a new light stock with an AUTO switch position plus whatever module AND an ETACS mod. Or hacking in some cheap Chinese after market module and sensor. Oh well..

you could potentially spend $$$ adding that feature, or use your hand to turn them on when its dark.

i would like turn signals that operate by mind control ....

My 2011 SE has auto-on HID's. So OEM parts exist.

Yeah, it seems so. I started tracking down the parts and runs into the hundreds very quickly. Will just have to tell my charming bride to remember to turn them on. Thankfully the car will remind her to turn them off.

Some aftermarket alarm systems offer auto headlights .Would not need to use the full alarm part just the headlight half . Sorry I don't remember the brand . You could build a relay that you just leave the light switch on all the time and when the key is in the run position it will power the relay turning on the lights . yes it would be full lights all the time , but you could turn them off at the switch if you wanted to .

Yeah, but we have DRLs so not sure how that would work. I have decided against this mod.
