So I just recently got an 2018 OS and was looking into gets a tow hitch installed. I do know the warrenty will be void. I was just wondering if anyone had any issues towing with theirs, or if would even be worth it. I was looking at getting a 5x8 trailer im not too keen on the weight details yet.

 

I have towed many of miles with my OS...tons actually and learned the hard way about over heating the CVT. $3900 later and I had a new transmission. SO, yes these cars can tow a trailer to a certain capacity but if you do PLEASE either install an auxiliary transmission cooler or keep the runs light and short and you should be fine. Also make sure your CVT fluid is up to the match. If it has a ton of miles and is old best to get a service done.

 

I know there is not official tow rating but what did you tow that killed your transmission?
