Just compiling a small list of things that I have taken from the Lancer/Outlander and plopped on to my RVR/ASX/OS.
I own a Base FWD 5MT RVR with the 2.0l 4B11 engine.
The following should also be helpful if you have a base Lancer/Outlander and you want to swap in parts from higher trim vehicles
1. 2010-2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Front Strut bar
2. 2nd gen Outlander Door Tweeter speakers
These were an easy install, I took it out of a junkyard Outlander XLS and it fit on my RVR perfectly.
3. Color display Tachometer dashboard from the Lancer/Outlander/Higher trim RVR.
Now I always had a suspicion that the Color display Tach from the higher trim Lancer's/Outlanders/RVR's are all the same units and are plug and play among all models.
I called around to a few dealerships asking them if I can swap my base Red display Tach with the higher trim Tach, and most of them did not know the answer. I called a Mitsubishi service depot in Texas, and the service tech claimed that the color display units from higher trim RVR/OS are NOT compatible with the lower trim units as RVR's has different wiring harnesses depending on the trim level and Lancer/Outlander Tachs simply wont fit at all.
Answer: Plug and play, I got a Color Tach from a Wrecked Lancer GT Sportback today for cheap and it works like its from the factory on my car. I'm pretty happy. It was a 5 minute swap. I had to note down the difference in mileage between the Tach's
4. Automatic climate control unit
I had the base manual Climate control unit, I swapped it out with the Automatic climate control unit from the Junkyard Sportback GT.
Again, plug and play and it looks much nicer than the old base model unit. Auto mode seems to work as intended.
Future plans:
I hope to go back to the pick and pull next week and see if I can get those Door mirrors with integrated turn signals and Steering wheel from a 2nd gen 2011 Outlander SE. I will update this page with my findings!

Thank you for sharing your finds, this information is great. I am also a fun of adapting pieces from other wrecked cars, so I particularly appreciate your post. I have a question concerning the multicolor information display: Is it a passive unit or it shows the odometer standing of the donor vehicle? I seem to recall reading info stating the latter. Thank you.
Unfortunately the Odometer reading is stored in the Instrument cluster. I was hoping it was stored in the Vehicles ECU but alas it is not.
My previous ODO reading was 306k km and the new one was 221km, so I might have to call up the gubbermint and see what if I need to do anything so I dont run afoul of the law
5. 2011 Outlander - Door mirrors with integrated turn signals
I got the mirrors with integrated Turn signals. Upon closer inspection, they appear to be Heated mirrors as well. I dont know what is needed to enable the heated mirrors or if I have the wiring necessary (or if the heated mirror control is tied with the HVAC controls) but for me my main goal is to enable the Turn Signals.
Thankfully they are plug and play (for the most part) Which I am thankful for. I thought I'd have to break out the Wire snipper and solder iron.
Basic 2011 RVR mirror's connector on the left, 2011 Outlander on right
However this trim level of the RVR does not have the wiring necessary for the integrated turn signals.
My assumption is that since the 5 Speeds were probably all supposed to be base stripper models, this car's wiring harness does not have the turn signals wiring integrated into the harness to save on costs. The CVT equipped models *may* have the turn signals wiring already integrated into the harness if you have a base model CVT equipped RVR, but i'm not sure about that.
I'll just get four long wires and tap them into the Fender turn signal wiring to enable the mirror signals.
I bought Automotive Pearl Black Spray paint, and clear coat so Ill take some time to paint the white mirror covers Black tomorrow.
6. 2012 Lancer - Mass airflow Sensor
Nothing much to say about this, simple install.
Next steps? I think my only wishes would to get the steering wheel from a Ralliart/EVO and the fancy new rear Tail lights plus the Factory Stereo with Android auto from the newest 2020 RVR's ( I think i'll be waiting a long while for those to show up in the U-Pull-it yards)

Check how many wires the wiring harness in your front door has connected. If seven, like in your newly acquired mirror then you just have to make sure the corresponding pins align. I am not sure whether you got the mirror from an OS/RVR or from an Outlander II. The connectors are not identical. Check out post #12 in this thread for comparison. You can also check out this thread for additional options.
Sure, the long wire connecting the turn signal in the fender with the mirror should work if anything else fails. Good find, enjoy the benefits of it.

i can confirm that the Ralliart/Evo X steering wheel does not have the same clockspring as the RVR, so you would lose the airbag functionality and the steering wheel controls. Since you’re dealing with airbags, I’d make sure you really know what you’re doing, unless you disable the airbag and try and find a way to wire the connectors for the steering wheel controls. Plus the ralliart/evo clocksprings dont have the Angle Sensor attached to them, and they don’t have the necessary shape to accommodate one. HOWEVER, if you find a way to attach the Angle Sensor on the Evo clock spring, you will have functional airbags (as the airbag connections between the car and clockspring are the same) but again, still no steering controls.
i don’t have a spare RVR clockspring to compare with here, but the steering wheel would be a bigger job than you might think unless you’re willing to give up airbag and steering wheel controls. Cheers !
