Do any of you e85 boys get snorted at by über-liberals filling up their corn-fed Chevy SUVs - especially in snoqualmie ridge - wondering why you're tappin' e85? I wouldn't be surprised at all if I heard of that occurring.

Not quite the same but I remember being looked down on by some old fart driving his Benz when I was filling up my GSR with 92 back in the mid-90s. He didn't think something like a Honda/Acura could handle that octane

A guy was totally staring at me like either I was gonna kill him or my car when I was pumping E85 last month in Chehalis.

James isnt the only one to be upgrading a turbo:

Nissan T28 Big Wheel with a small AR turbine (.48 instead of .63)

The GT15 for comparison:

100whp or bust....hopefully no bust

It's not like it's a stand alone pump. You can pump 92 out of the same station. So you would really have to be interested to even notice what fuel is going into the car. But in general I fill up at 6:30 AM and nobody is even there.

I would love to have some guy in a "sweet" mid-life crisis mobile think my car didn't deserve the octane. I had a new Z06, and Viper SRT10 along side me on the freeway today - nothing happened, but i would have loved to have lit them up!

My car is making around 500 whp on E85, with the standard 25% drive train loss the EVO has compared to crank HP that's 625 HP - and it weights 3100 lbs. That's .202 hp/lb. A Corvette ZR1 is .192 hp/lb, and the Z06 is only .158 hp/lb. Bring it.

That said I really never race people

You would be surprised how much people look around when pumping gas.

That would have been entertaining to see the look on their faces - your car is friggin' sick!

jid2, are you going to run E85 on April 23? It'll be fun to watch you accelerate down the straight and see if anyone can keep up!

Of course. This stuff is so awesome, it gives the safety and performance of race gas, and my wife doesn't get bitter from $6 a gallon race gas bills.
