I did let air out of the tires. I kept messing with tire pressure and two step rpm, and timing. it would either bog, or spin. I will try to get the launch down with the new setup. I did 1.7s on the stock block/turbo. this setup is a little different though... And I am not putting a cage in it until I am no longer allowed at any of the local tracks...

so does SOMEONEEEEEE want to tell me why my car keeps "overheating"...well, it's never going all the way hot. it's stays right in between the middle mark and the very top(about 3/4 the way up on hot).

it only does it when the car is sitting after a second, like at the drive thru or something. i know my car is leaking a little bit of oil, but i'm good on oil, i check it like every day. could it be, a thermostat?

well is that what could be making the temp gauge do that? i wasn't sure if it would or not because i'm not low on oil...i check it every day, and if i need some i add it. it's not a big leak at all, it's pretty small, i don't lose much oil.

If you're not getting any oil in the water or vice versa and its good on oil. I would say it's possibly the thermostat, or air in the coolant. When the car sits air gets trapped at the thermostat and lets it heat up more than it should..... Just a possibility

yeah i've looked at that, and the oil doesn't look to have any water in it, and vice versa. well hmmm...i'm hoping it is something simple like you said, instead of a huge problem like my motor is on the verge of blowing up again. that would suck.

This is 110% true. I bought mine in Cali and would do it again. Mine looked brand new with 20k miles on it. Every evo I looked at in WA was okay as far as condition and price was 2-3k higher. They have nicer weather, nicer roads, and usually less rock chips. Atleast from what I have seen.

Water makes oil turn gray so it's instantly obvious if the two have ever mixed. But if you have a blown head gasket, water/oil is going somewhere. I'd keep a constant eye on the coolant levels. A bubble/stuck T'stat sounds very likely too from what you describe as Ryon was saying...

it's only oil going somewhere, i'm pretty sure. i check my water/coolant too, and it's still full, like, completely full. so hopefully it's not anything bad, again, making my car seem like it's overheating.
