Drove the car to work today, and will be finishing tuning finally. It feels nice to have confidence in the thing again. No more fuel issues, unknown sounds etc.
Going to dial in the tune at 28 psi and sign up for a track day.

Hopefully people find the thread helpful, that's been the intention. And making CBRD giggle - he's a cheap laugh though when it comes down to it.
Well I got the boost back up to 28+ psi on the trip home from work. It gave me a slight mis-fire at about 6000 RPM. This is exactly what caused me to believe I had a fueling issue. My wideband crapped out and at the same time my boost had crept a little and was blowing out the spark. My AFR's are solid now but the mis-fire is still there; point to spark blowout.
I pulled the plugs this evening which have been in since the motor was first started after the build, about 3000 miles ago. They looked very clean, E85 is nice. I checked the gap and they were at about 0.026". Having done some reading on bigger turbo high-boost setups most people are running 0.020" gap. I had some new BPR7ES sitting on the shelf so I grabbed them, and gapped them to .020" using a feeler gauge to verify the gap. I've found that a feeler gauge set is MUCH better than the stupid little "ramped" quarter style gauge. The feeler gauge is better at checking for a uniform gap.
So I'll be going out for a little more testing/tuning this weekend. Tomorrow is back-yard sprinklerville time.

Drove the car to work again today to test my new plugs. The mis-fire is gone and the car is running like a raped ape again. Data Log Labs has been giving me consistent 460whp, 420 lb-ft with this tune. I'm going to leave it here until I can fine tune it on a dyno. Signing up for 2 track days in the upcoming weeks. FTW.

Yard Update: Everything is installed in the ground and running. Just need to finishing wiring and programming the control unit and I'm done watering for the rest of my life
Which leaves time to work on my car again.
Car Update: Signed up for a track day with the local Porsche guys in one week. They require harnesses to be the same for passenger and driver, and be current. So my old harness in the drivers side only won't cut it. So I went and bought some Sparco harnesses from the local shop. This is motivating me to finish fabbing my harness bar that is sitting in my garage. So I'm planning to finish it this weekend. Trying to decide if I paint it white... or olive drab. Harnesses are blue (all they had).
I'm also pulling the trigger on 2 piece rotors - finally. Girodisc is a Washington based company and I've been up to visit their shop and talk to the owner/engineer Martin. He used to work for Porsche developing braking systems. So he really knows his brakes. I'm glad to finally be back on my "upgrade" path after straying to fix broken stuff.

Had a weekend full of doing work.
First was admiring these pretty new rotors. I'm going to be doing some brake temp data logging to compare these to stock rotors in terms of operating temperature. I'm working with Girodisc on the test setup, and it should be a fun little science project. As you can see, these are nice 2 piece rotors. 4 lbs lighter than stock per rotors. That's 8 lbs of rotating mass GONE!

Bling for the window.

I also finished the harness bar I started over a year ago. This picture is OLD!

From last year.

This weekend.

Just a few more little things and I'm ready to hit the track Wednesday.

Very nice man
I want to add a camera mount to my cage like that
and I am probably going to get a set of 2 piece rotors too
What Break pads are you going to run with these? I am still trying to Decide on what ones I want.
