Martin at Girodisc has me convinced that the Raybestos ST43's are the stuff. He has experience with just about every pad out there and swears by the ST43's as the best track pad for the EVO. And I know " BlackTrack" runs them on his time attack car with great results.

I just finished installing the new Sparco harnesses and figured out a way to sneak out of my driveway at maximum angle so I don't scrape the splitter. I'm going to drive the car to work tomorrow and fill it with E85, then when I get home I'll swapped out the wheels/tires and rotors/pads with the race parts. That way I'm all ready to head to the track Wednesday at 7AM.

let me know if you can "feel" the difference between the 2pc and the 1pc rotors.

what kind of IDC's are you seeing on your injectors @ what pressure?

I don't think there will be much to "feel" other than brakes NOT fading or getting heat soaked. And "feeling" is subjective. That's why we are going to actually data log pad temperature of the Girodisc parts vs stock - then the data will speak for itself, no feeling required. I'll also be taking some pictures with a thermal camera (think predator), so we can visualize the heat loading of the braking system. This is what engineers do for fun

I think my injector duty cycles are around 70% or something at a base pressure of 34 psi.

Had to stop at the quicky wash and spray the dirty beast down on my way to work. I don't have time to give it a proper washing, but I can't show up all nasty looking in a sea of polished bratwurst and kraut loving porshces.

That things looks like a beast. So hott. Definitely nice job on everything. The black wheels on white is hot.

I was curious on your experimenting with the dual pump set up for a while if your ever tried to utilize the stock dual relay fuel pump system ?

Im thinking about trying this out seeing I have a walbro sitting around and all data at school I can find the relay's.

ST43's ARE the sh*t. Get Ti backing plates to so you'll "extend" the life of your dust boots though because you'll be braking harder and later with those babies so the heat will be.....up there. I've gotten so consistant with them I think I might try the 41's up front to see if i can get in even later

The black wheels are just the street tires. I'll put the olive drab NT03's on tonight.

I didn't bother with the factory dual stage relay system for my second pump because i couldn't adjust the trip point. I ran out of time, and didn't want to screw with it - so i just used the Hobbs switch.

The ST43's should be here when Fedex shows up. I do too much stuff right up to the wire. Going to swap out the rotors, pads, and flush out my brake fluid tonight - then pack the car.

I need to build that big GT wing - the car looks misbalanced with the stock rear wing. And probably is, the splitter is meant to balance out a big wing!

^^^Seriously, or are you just joking? They do seem pretty strict - that's fo sho. I might hide the datalogger because they want no timing at all.

Hopefully they know how to do this.

The guys I had to meet for the required "ground school" were pretty cool, but I feel the majority of the group could be a little "proud". It's the most monolithic group I've run with, it's 75% Porsche.

Well I have heard from a few around here that have got the cold shoulder...I've never raced with them but heard they aren't so friendly when you frequently pass them. So do us proud and royally **** them off I'll stick with the Alfa's...they know their cars are slow

Having timing equipment on your car should not be an issue. Having timing equipment to monitor multiple cars might be, because it's not longer an HPDE and is instead a timed event (which affects their insurance). However, most of the track junkies I know have various levels of camera/timing/datalogging and have never had an issue. Then again, they don't run with the PCA.
