I used 1 full can of brake parts cleaner spraying from the holes, and the baffles and running air from the compressor to blow out the chips. I would fill the baffles with fluid, shake, and then blow them out. Then I put it in the sink and filled the baffles and drained them over and over.

The car is now running on E85. Overall the switch was just too easy. Poured the stuff in from a 5 gallon gas can, pushed the map switch button on my console and started the car. I drove all over town and then on the highway - it drives perfect. No stumbles or anything.

My car was seeing 53% injector duty cycles on pump gas at 25 psi. After making a few pulls on E85 at 25 psi I can see that the car leans out up top versus the curve it would typically take based on the fuel map. But the values are OK because the meat of the powerband is actually rich right now and needs to be leaned way out on E85. So I should be OK to run 25 psi on E85 with my single Walbro for the time being.

Since my car is intended to be a track car, not just a street pull car, the tune will end up being conservative. Street cars can get away with lots of boost and maximized timing because they don't work the motor that hard or heat soak by making pulls up on ramps against SRT-4's. I'll probably keep the boost around 26 psi with timing backed off maximum torque a few degrees.

Filling up this morning from the pump since the test drive on the first couple gallons was A-OK. Note the friggin' snow in the background. It's not supposed to snow in Seattle in April. Someone go find Al Gore and take that noble prize back - global warming...

Turned the boost up to 27 psi... going to check and see if I've got enough fuel for it. Pretty sure I will. That will be my track tune.

Well - I'm not special. My single stock Walbro cannot supply enough fuel for 27 psi at the AFR's I want to run. My target AFR is 11.8 and above 5500 RPM I rise to 12.0 and then 12.2 at redline. No matter how much fuel I add to the map in those areas I get the same AFR's. So I have a Walbro pump sitting here that I modified with the pressure relief valve trick that I'm going to install at lunch time. This evening I'll see if that can get me the fuel I need - otherwise I drop the boost back to around 24 psi.

I went and weighted my car in order to make the Data Log Labs dyno charts scale correctly. The standard values in DLL for an EVO are about 3300 lbs without driver, my car weights 3100 lbs without driver. So I was inflating the numbers with the stock settings. Adjusting the weight dropped about 20 whp of the numbers - but now I'm correct with what my car actually weighs in at.

Currently the car is around 465 whp and 420 ft-lbs of torque. I'm still working on the timing map and don't think it is fully ramped up yet, but who knows. Final levels will probably land between where it is now up to maybe 500 whp and 450 ft-lbs... if I had to guess.

something else must be up with your fuel issue. I was running consistant 28-29 psi (peak of 32-31psi) on my 2.3 and 3076 with a single 255 and was running 11.8-11.7 to redline. Maybe injectors? IDK?

Because dyno numbers are only one way to measure a turbo.

This car is the FASTEST production based car around a couple tracks, and it uses a 3076 for all intents and purposes....

I'm on E85 now, 94 octane would be no problem with 27 psi.

Driver is the Most Important Thing on Track not The car .

^^^ At that level the driver gets everything out of the car, that's why they get paid to drive. The car has tons to do with it.

Well I put in the modified walbro and went for a test drive at lunch. AFR's are 11.7 to redline, so that did the trick. Probably won't leave it in past this summer. Looking at the fuel pump assembly I might just buy a Full Blown kit and not waste my time modifying the stock assembly. I'd buy another stock assembly anyway so I wouldn't not ruin my core.
