jid2 ... I've just bought an Eagle Conrod ESP H Beam code CRS5900MA3D ... it did not fit my wiseco piston ...
I think the guy give me the wrong conrod coz the box says its for 1989 - 1992 engine ... i did some googles & found out its for 6 bolts pattern ... The one that fits an EVO engine is CRS5900MB3D right ? Which one did you use inside your car ? PLS HELP me out here ...

The EVO is 7 bolt. The difference is the flywheel bolt pattern and the width of the bearing surfaces. I used 7 bolt everything: rods, crank, bearings, pistons.

Rods: CRS5900MB3D
Pistons: K596M8550

Those are not 2.3L stroker pistons those are 2.0 pistons. and 86mm means you will need to bore the cylinders.

you might want to leave the dipstick unrestrained until you figure out why you have so much crankcase pressure. You could blow out the crank or cam seals.

Did a compression test, all cylinders at about 160 psi. So that's well within spec. Stock is 163 psi.

Got the parts for the Accusump today. I was hoping to mount it in the engine compartment, but there's no way. And since this is still used as a street car it can't go in the cabin - so it's off to the trunk. I'll need to get some longer hose now, the 6ft is not going to do it.

REALLY sick build, you def got the skillage, nice thread too, way to document

couple of tips from an old dawg FWIW

next time pressure test the coolant system to pinpoint leaks before tear down

http://www.autozone.com/in_our_store...ure_tester.htm

with your fab skill you could probably make one from that tire pump (you had testing the section of tubing) and an old rad cap.

on the stainless tubing welds the pro welders purge the backside by plugging the ends and filling with argon. A more affordable alternative is Solar Flux

http://www.solarflux.com/

it's a paste you paint on the backside of the seam (maybe you did this can't tell from the pics) The backside of an unprotected Tig/Mig weld become a stress raiser with thin sections like tubing.

Sorry, didn't catch this stuff before you were done, just now read the thread, but for next time.

there's also flux for alum but I've never used it so don't know

Data Log Labs plot of HP and torque from a pull this morning. I've got the timing at 0 at peak torque looking to validate my 2 counts of knock are false. I should be able to get the timing back up and make a little more...

24 psi

Adjusted my timing and made 414 ft-lb and 460 whp. So there's power to be had once I dial in the knock control settings and fine tune things.

Boost is 24 psi. That's as much as I plan to run on pump gas.

Still screwing with knock control and tuning. I'm running short on time and trying to get too many things finished before I load the car on the trailer tonight. I leave Friday afternoon straight from work to go to Portland so I need to be done tonight. I wanted to get the Accusump installed before I hit the track with the new motor. I realized I didn't have space to mount it in the engine bay, so I ended up putting it it the trunk. This created a crisis as I didn't have a long enough piece of -10an hose. I tried to find it locally without luck, so I ordered one with next-day shipping from Summit. So I stayed up late and welded in some mounting brackets and wired the valve. By then it was too late to go out tuning.

I'll try and do more tuning at lunch and this evening before we load the car. If I run out of time I'll just keep the timing nice and low.

The longer hose should be here today and I'll pull off the under panel and route that after work.
