So I think I'm going to build an aluminum tow hitch system. Seems like attaching a heavy steel trailer hitch structure is counter productive to the whole "race-car" idea. So I'll do a little analysis and then design, CNC machine, and weld together an all aluminum light weigh towing hitch. Should be sweet.
Jared,

are you going to make it removable? The reason I ask is because I would imagine it would have a negative effect on the Aero you tried so hard to build.

Thanks again for the inspiration, my full underbody Aero is coming along nicely, only the rear diffuser to build now!

^^^ No I'll leave it on and make it work with the aero.

My brake master cylinder is leaking from running it dry while bleeding the brakes and getting some crap in the seals. My brakes are worthless - I need to order a new cylinder, boo.

Did a little of this action in the garage this weekend.

My car has basically been sitting in the garage for a few years doing nothing while I've been busy with other projects. During it's hibernation it developed a nice misfire and general running crappy condition. It's also been kicked out of the garage to make room for more CNC machines. So today I finally got around to working on it a little.

While installing some new plugs I came across the cause of the misfires - turns out these vacuum caps have a life expectancy, and mine had expired.

No more space in the garage.

New resting place. I pulled all the graphics off the car over the summer as well so it was more normal looking sitting in the drive way.

Come on, look how civil it is, just a white car with blue wheels and a huge wing.

I did rebuild all the brake calipers and the master cylinder a few months ago as well, so the brakes worked to pull it out of the garage. That was when I discovered it was running so poorly - testing the brakes.

I had a pretty good sized smile on the test drive after putting in new plugs and new vacuum caps. Rolled into the throttle, turbo came alive, revving smooth with all sorts of whooshing and waste gate dumping and I was like, "back in business"! And that was on pump gas. Gonna run a tank of gas through it and go put in some E85.

But that will likely lead to me putting it for sale. It's too awesome to just let sit and do nothing. Someone else can have fun floggin it and then maintaining it!

Yeah - that's reloading stuff. My free-time shifted from the EVO to shooting 3 Gun, and developing a bunch of products for competitive shooting.

This chapter is ending, I've got someone interested in buying the car, just working to get it ready to hand over to him so he can flog it on the track. Bitter sweet, I said I'd never sell it. But I'm simply just watching it sit in my driveway and it deserves better.
