Got the car ready for a track day tomorrow.
While removing the Accusump from the trunk following the oil everywhere incident I noticed some oil around the pressure relief valve. It's possible that it was the source of the oil leak, although I'm not sure what would have caused the excessive oil pressure. So because I'm low on free-time these days I just pulled the Accusump until i can find time to install it in the passenger side area of the cab using a short length hose now for less pressure drop etc. I also got a 3/8 BSP adapter instead of the 3/8 NPT I had before.
Should be great at the track tomorrow, it's the annual evening event - running into the sunset. Less cars this year were allowed in so the traffic should be better, I hope. The EVO eats up slow moving cars and then I spend a good chunk of the session stuck behind old Alfas and BMW sedans.

Fun day at the track, car ran perfect and had a steady helping of GT3's, Z06's and the usual onslaught of Miatas.
I'll get some video up when I can.
Everytime I go to the track I think of two things:
- I love E85.
- This motor takes some serious abuse and just gets it done. Not bad for a dude in the garage.

On this specific day I had my way with them. But it depends on who is driving them really, my car is typically rolling at about the same pace as those types of cars. Last night the GT3's were 996's and the ZO6's were C5 and C6's. Last time I was out there were some 997 GT3's and I run about the same time as them as well on clean laps. It's the GT3 cup cars that lay down the lap times though, or the Viper ACR that was out last night - I tried to follow him around but when we got together it was in traffic and in the dark and he pulled into the paddock after a lap or so.

I'll edit some video tonight perhaps, but here is a flybye taken by a buddy, as well as some footage of my car ripping past someone else in there video.

I come by at the 1:04 mark

Ordered some more rubber. The R888's are pretty much worn out now so I grabbed some Hoosier made Continental Race take offs from the Grand-Am series. They are reported to have a tad more grip than R6's and wear pretty good - R6 like. Should be fun tires.
Trying to get another couple track days worked in over the next couple weeks.

Thoughts of driver in second video " so all along I was thinking the mr2 was a good hadling quick small sportscar due to its low profile and such, but then I see this white 4 door sedan blowing past me destroying the turns.

^^^ Most people at the track these days know that our 4 door crap boxes aren't messing around - especially with aero hanging out everywhere. But it's still fun to get the guys come over after sessions and wonder why the car is so loud and fast.

Everyone like it when UPS drops off a stack of tires. 275/35/18 Continental race tires, take offs from the Grand-Am series.

I'll take your tires .....

The guy in the MR in the video actually works with me. He instructs at the NW Alfa days. Very cool down to earth guy. His car doesn't have much done to it and hes not one of those types to think like that either. He knows what Evos are....
