^^^^ What up! Yeah it's fun/sweet most of the time.

I went to e85 up for a track day and found my truck full of oil. I couldn't spot the exact source but the culprit has to be the line I run from the Accusump which is in the trunk. I had to disconnect the sump and put the plug back in the oil filter housing to bypass the leak and get the car home from my gas-run. I think I'm going to just put the Accusump inside the cabin now that the car is pretty much track duty only. Either in front or right behind the passenger seat.

For those who always like the picture of all the parts on the ground I've got a new one for you. I bought a large benchtop milling machine a few months ago and I'm in the process of building/converting it into a CNC machine. I've got a picture of all the tooling I bought as the initial start-up stuff. And a few other pics for those interested. Should be able to make some cool parts when it's done. Not sure what exactly - but the idea is "whatever I want".

Mill, setup in manual mode right now. My nice 8ft workbench took a serious downsizing to fit the mill in place.

CNC control system parts.

Storage.

Oil System.

Lathe. No CNC plans........ yet.

I hate you.

(Nice setup! What software are you planning on driving it with?)

Going to run the mill with Mach 3 software.

I'm also thinking about converting the EVO over to Speed Density at some point this summer. It suffers from throttle hang and I'd like to smooth that action out.

Btw Jid,
what do you feel about the GT3076R & BC valvesprings and its retainers so far?

My 2.0L with the GT3076R not that fun to drive with...

The valve springs seem fine, but I keep my revs pretty moderate compared to alot of guys - I have the rev limiter at 7800 RPM.

For me the GT3076R is doing great with the 2.3L. The powerband is meaty down low, not to much worse than stockish setups and 500 whp at 28 psi is plenty for the tracking I do. I wouldn't go stock frame due to all the failures from low oil pressure conditions in road race cars. So for me it's a good fit. I'd go BW twinscroll if I changed things up.

Jared, I just experienced a strock frame FP-Red failure at the track. Boost surged and whump, no boost. Inspection shows fins came into contact with the housing. While I'm frustrated to be missing the season right now, it is a great to be weighing my options. The BW EFR series has great specs. Like you, I'm more of a track guy though I'm still 2L, 8K rev limit and 93 oct fuel vs your 2.3, 7800rev limit and E85 not to mention ~100hp shy. Thanks for sharing your input.

^^ Totally depends on what you are doing with the car, and what your desires are for power delivery. The basic list seems fine though.

Than how to improve the oil pressure Jid? Does oem oil pump able to handle 500 whp? Or do i need to invest on a what so called Racing Oil Pump?

Lastly, how bad is the effect after ive cut off the duck mouth (what we call here) on the oil pick up?

Please kindly share...

Thanks

My oil system is stock with the addition of the Accusump. So far so good.

why would you cut off the "duck mouth"
That will make you more susceptible for oil surge...
