hey rock, what rpm are you taking it to?
I need to read a lot more on these motors to make a decision soon. It would feel amazing to rev out to 9.5k but then its hard to compete with instant spool and monster torque
right now from my understanding its set at 7800 right now jorge said no point in moving it up im generating tons of power way before that so no point in reving out but i told him to move it to 8k just out of principle probably never ever rev past 7500 as it will not be needed but i know it can do 8k-8500 safely so im have it at 8k

you realize I never said anything about fp black right?

I was just curious if the earlier spool is worth it over longer revs.(no turbo in particular)
I guess when it really comes down to it, its all about preference. Do I want to feel the torque almost instantly or do I want the high rev limit...decisions decisions

I guess it will be a totally different ball game since ill be using an hta35

o5VIII dont worry the black doesnt just die in power anyways- ive reved to 8800rpm in my stroker which makes it even harder for the turbo to hold power uptop and it didnt show any signs of dropping off. its a 68-70lb/min turbo, its not a 16g.

damn, that sounds pretty good. 7.5 to maybe 8 would be good for my turbo
you are helping me make my decision quicker

now just gotta figure out who to go with for a built block

didnt think it did. I have never really herd any complaints up top with the blacks. but it doesnt really matter to me as I prefer larger turbos

I do plan to get a stroker soon, but thats when i get back and get another evo to put it in. That would be my DD/weekend track car. The 2.0 will just be for fun and a street/drag car...
