I wonder sometimes if the Rockster's huge displacement block with the high flowing cylinderhead might not benefit from the FP 5R camshafts. I sometimes think that the 4R's might be a bit mild for the Rockster's build profile. Does anyone else wonder along a similar tangent?

i thought you had to have custom work on your head and special designed pistons to run fp 5r cams. I talked to robert along time ago and he TOLD ME RUN MY fp 4r cams coupled with there turbos and you will see whats up for real. Now this was way before i even considered or even had a built motor in the picture. he told me 5r are way to big and not for a striaght street car. Not to mention i dont like how aggressive 5rs sound i dont want monster truck status.

The 5rs can be a ***** to get the drive ability right on a street car. I think the 4rs will still make good power on your setup.

the 4r are doing perfect beastly on my setup so far i mean im 14 whp from my total goal anywho on e85 with the new spring jorge will slaughter that and my car has plenty of power left on the table. I love the way they sound as well a certain sound nice and aggressive but not to far out there. this build was to prove a point once its all said and done ill be posing final thoughts on certain evom you must do things so written in some stupid code. Some parts i chose to use differently just to show it lays down power and all myth. Ill leave the 5r to you sir LOL

damn rock, you finally dyno'd and achieved your goal of high hp 2.4 black. this is some brutal torque indeed. like ts said, drive safe man, that kind of tq is more than most v8 sports cars that are high end. the 2.4 is clearly the block to use for this devilish torque. excellent power!!

you need to get a passenger who is unsuspecting and tell them to get the bill. If that level of tq isn't there then its for me. I need scream fest level tq. but not die in a flash tq. just make yo *** scream tq, so 500lb/ft is excellent. anything over 500's and it's simply too much for my safety and well being i might die. stay safe man and let us know when u get to 600. e85 pump is near me as well now so ill have multiple maps. kill mode/street mode

That doesnt mean they have good street manners. I will sacrifice a little top end power for mid range and smooth drive ability. I have personally been in big power cars with 5rs and they are not for me. I will take my new s2 any day. Still make gobs of power and are smooth, even smoother than my kelfords.

hmm seems people are moving away from kelfords from what I see. I want a smooth ride as well i dont need a rough neck drive just going 10 minutes 3 miles to work. vibrating like crazy and loud ill pass on that for sure
