Kelfords make great power on Evo 8's but the GSC's and FP4R's for IX's are the bee knee's.

I hope STM starts making cams for IX's. There is also the custom GSC's from English Racing.

its all about how the cars tuned at idle, i can make mine lope, or make it so you cant even tell it has cams. personally i like the mild lope in the video you posted. not a good example tho, cause your exhaust sounds better then that evo's.

 

after i heard shunderwunders car with fp 4r I was hooked on them love they way they sounded gave his car grunt and muscle sounding without being over the top. I was going to get kelfords then some people started having issues with them on 2.4 but were evo 9s could have been the mivec either way at the time I was like ill look for a set of them if i come across a set for a baller price ill do it. ending up buying them mildly new 3k miles on them for 320 shipped so not bad


I was shooting for mild sounding tame. hence why i did not choose to loud exhaust system. I dont know its freaking out or sounding like its on its last leg. My goal was to avoid a loud sounding car. unless pushing it of course. Just dont want daily driving to become annoying and headache producing like you see some folks. All that loudness makes it hard in early morning when you have to go to work and you are awaken by a obnoxious car.

I understand you can adjust idle etc of the cams to get them to sound a certain way for sure but i know the more aggressive the cam its harder to dull the effect if you get when im saying.

 

yes you're correct and i agree as well with the loud noise stuff. not a fan either (unless at track)

 

you race you car yet tscompusa i figure all tracks are closed now but im surprised you have not race against a viper vette or got a drag time yet.

 

i did against a lingenfelter zr1 had the 650hp package. i beat him but he had traction issues also, so not a fair race i guess. put 2 cars on him with him leaving early. i need to get it to the track soon tho yes.. id love to see what it traps. i want 140mph or more in full kill mode if possible. when i ran the zr1 i was 42psi spiking.

right now im in the middle of doing a custom catch can setup, you can check in that "for anyone that has crankcase pressure issues" thread it shows what im doing. its so cold tho right now the cars in garage and i hate going down there now. its 30F right now. whats the coldest it gets in louisiana?

 

been 18 a couple times right now we are going to get to acutally 36 tonight it says but i have no car to work on just the Z and I have not touched that since i upgraded the rims. As you stated to cold to be outside playing games LOL. You Dd your evo or not in winter? I suppose nothing more for you to do with your car besides some exterior and interior love

I dont have anything to do really after this. I dont daily drive it, i put about 5-6k miles on it a year at the most.

LOL when are you going to race a zr1 since you say its a fair race lets see you go out and make it happen LOL. Im surprised he lives in a area where somebody has one. We have vettes down here z06 never seen a zr1 on the road here one of our chevy dealers has one in his lobby for show

 

they have a huge corvette gathering / show here every year in carisle pa its like the biggest vette show in the world and there was about 25-30 zr1 and some callaway corvettes and 2 twin turbo corvettes also that had dynosheets on their windshield from a dyno dynamics dyno showing over a 1000whp LOL! Imagine racing one of those. probably put bus lengths on us.
