Got a little bit more done this weekend. A buddy of mine came up and gave the engine a look. As of right now everything seemed really good. Going to have the rods checked by oliver and new rod bolts installed. Im also going to take the crank in to double check that its not out of round and have it fluxed. So other than a new HG, bearings and some valve seals it should be back together. Hopefully keep it under the 1k mark which I'm really really happy about.

I also picked up the plug I had made to be able to use an evo9 valve cover on an evo8 head.

Everything is about ready to go. Waiting on new l19s and valve seals from STM. I'm also waiting on Oliver to get back in touch with me about the rods. The crank checked out fine and was sent in for a quick polish. Got some parts in as well.

New oem oil pan modified by Buschur, Thanks for fixing the shipping issue Nick!
crank scraper
main bearings and thrust...waiting on the rod bearings, apparently the Olivers take 1g bearings instead of evo bearings.
seat hardware
carbon pieces for the front bumper
rear main seal
ANOTHER head gasket, I'm sick of buying these things!!!
Titanium bolts for the engine bay and engine, coated black of course

Dressupbolts.com...great customer service and super fast shipping. Ask for Chris Bishop

Evos are 7 bolt. I have the part number I could care less as to what they actually come from. The car ran for 2 years on these bearings, Im really sure they are right

I have a couple bumper block offs that Indy made out of carbon. They are flat and the bumper itself has a slight curve to it. I decided to apply a little epoxy to help hold the shape during fiber glassing. Pic of the weight it took to keep them down.

I don't have any pics of the backside (its ugly anyways) But its two layers of fiberglass cloth and a liberal amount of resin. Prepped with 80 grit sand paper and washed with soap and water. Its my first time with fiberglass but I'm confident it will hold.

I love the garage/workspace you have! Is it heated?

Finish up this project and get it roadworthy--spring is just around the corner!

Thanks, currently its heated with a salamander. I only spend a few hours a week out in the garage during the winter. It keeps it at 60 degrees throughout the winter even when it was around 15 outside this year.

If I would ever get my rods back it would be moving right along. Oliver is taking forever.

Thanks, it was on a 6262 last year, just changing some things up this year.

Bumper is supposed to be here in a few weeks. Wiring components and tools should be here before Friday. I'm really excited to get started on it. Milspec quick disconnect and raychem dr-25 throughout.
